Without a test drive how can a person judge its performance? It will be difficult to know the rednwhite of the bike without its test drive which Yamaha is not giving a chance to the end customer.

I rode YBR 125 2010 model in UAE a couple of years ago and from what I have seen nothing much has changed. This is a good bike but nothing extraordinary. People who are used to ride honda CG 125 may not like it because this bike lacks the acceleration and low end grunt of CG. That particular YBR was with wire spoke wheels and drum brakes. But front still felt heavy. This is a good bike for commuting but if someone is looking to race these bikes, This isn't the bike for them.

Thanks for sharing your experience bhai but again the question rises that you drove a bike which was in uae having greater specs then the 1 we will be getting in pak and what is the assurance that this will be equal in performance same as the 1 you drove in uae. My concerns are only about the comfort and smoothness as i dnt drive fast.

Most of these small displacement bikes in UAE are imported from India and Philippines. The one i rode was with carb. And we are going to get the same model but with some bells and whistles. Performance of these bikes is not the main concern because these bikes are designed for one purpose only that is Urban Commute. This model has enough punch in mid level revs that it can easily cut through traffic and take the rider from point A to point B. The main concern is rider's comfort and the features we never got before with reliable after sales service.
Ride a CG 125 for 100 miles and then take the return trip on a Ravi 125 or Suzuki GD110. You will know that riding position and comfort will be more important than acceleration and top speed. These bikes are designed to travel at 70-80kmph max. but people here push their bikes is pursuit of speed.

YBR 125 may not be as quick as CG125 but it certainly clicks all the right buttons for its class. It is more comfortable than CG125, more modern and stable. CG125 is a reliable platform but it was designed in 70s and thanks to AHL nothing has changed since. Major upgrade in CG125 was in 1992 when the engine was upgraded to CDI system. Other cosmetic changes dont count. YBR125 is a major leap forward for Pakistani riders.

All agreed.........! but performance of bike also counts a lot .........!This is Pakistan where people think entirely different when its come performance/racing........! but i also seen cg125 racing on a track in some other countries....!
India, Thailand, Malaysia are big examples from Asia for legal and illegal track/street racing.....! But in Pakistan totally different mindset exist......!
Racing is not about the pushing a 1000cc bike around the corners...! Whether Bike is small or big it dosent matter Racing is pushing a bike to its limits and around the corners which shows that how good you are at controls...........!
But still hoping that in next 30 - 50 years we will have racing in Pakistan too...!

you guy seriously need to understand what a cruiser means "a bike which maintains highspeed (not very high in case of ybr) without stressing the engine and provide comfort and stability at highspeed" that the reason why the final reduction of cruiser are of tall gears just like gs you can reducing it gear ratio a lot but in high speed on highway the engine will get stressed

we know all that.......! we definitely stress the engine for purpose.........! no mercy while pushing...! somehow 4 stroke engines are good to bear stress unlike two stroke we had in past......!

Bhai, Dollars means if u convert it in pkr then it exceeds 100k for a 125 cc bike. No YMPK will not offer higher then 125cc bikes till 2015 however if its planned in next year then no news yet.

Yahan ziada tar to jahil honda lay saan type awam hay. To yamaha ko bohat mushkil ho gi market capture krnay main. Kyunkay yahan to 1970 model honda ka kachra bikta a raha hay just sticket badal badal kr.
