Bought new yb125z today in red colour, driven 3,4 short trips a total of 25kms. I will share the experience and pictures later but now I would like to ask few queries..
1. What should be the shocks setting? Default is mid point and btw most of the time I travel alone.?
2. I felt voice like chaan chaan when accelerat is it coming from engine or some body parts? How could I trace it and what should I do in case of it coming from engine? Btw is it possible?
3. What should be the tyre pressure as I felt it little bumpy.
4. Headlight projection is very high I adjust it by pushing the light downward but it came back up after few kms.
5. They just filled the electrolyte in battery and put that into bike, should I needs to charge it?
6. How can I avoid to switch in neutral while driving?
7. Kick is little harder than cd 70 is it okay?
8. When I push the turn signal towards right it starts blinking unless I again trun it towards left it don't switch off automatically and when I try to off the righ side signal I put on the left most of the time is it working alright? Or I am doing something wrong?
9. Last is if anyone used pridor please tell me which one is better among both and how.
Any other accessories I should put on it?

Many many congratulation on your purchase. Everything seems good and you start enjoying the ride. Chan chan sound is most probably coming out of timing chain and you don’t need to worry about it, it will reduce after some time. Projection light setting is good By default and you can install fog lights beneath that light to get more clearer view of Road. Indicator gets off by pressing the button instead of pushing it other way. This bike is much better than pridor in every aspect.

bhai aaj pridor chalaya hai 200km. ybz is more comfortable than pridor. ybz is better than pridor in all aspects

Yeh kya hy malik? Acha Bhai tumhen Mubarik ho yeh average of 60+. I hope I will also achieve this too someday as I use my bike only to collect grocery and milk and that drive is hardly around 10-15km per day and I never switched to 4th shift even during this trip so I guess that 50+ average is still very good with this condition.

Tyre pressure should be 35 for rear and 25 for front as per manual but you can use 40 and 30 if you drive with pillion. We never used kick and all new things are hard in start so when you will start using it, it will be smoother with passage of time. Shocks are good at its default point or you can adjust as per your weight on bike.

I am 5-11 with 75kg weight, what should be my setting for shocks?

Keep it fully low or second point as it will make it more flexible and you will not feel more bumps. Also, keep the tyre pressure on manual recommended settings 35 for rear and 25 for front.

Petrol quality is not good at most of the pumps. I will also check mine and replace it too. My bike has clocked 5500km so far. However I replaced my air filter at 4K and it’s price is 450/-. One more thing to do is to open below carb screw to give your bike smooth fuel supply.

1. The default setting is fine as long as you are comfortable with it.
2. I also got worried by these noises, but it will go away with time.
3. Not sure. I am still running my bike with default setting after 3 months & have no issues.
4. You can make some adjustments to your liking by Yamaha mechanic.
5. The battery itself is charged by a generator driven by the engine, and as long as the engine is running there will be a current flowing through the battery.
6. When you are in first gear, gently pushing the gear liver upward will make the bike neutral, pushing it harder will shift to the second gear. Similarly, in second gear, gently pushing it downward will make it to neutral and pushing it harder will shift to the first gear.
7. I never kick started my bike since day one so I'm not sure about this.
8. You need to press the turn signal to stop it, don't press towards left or right.
9. I have never driven a pridor but I believe these are different category bikes.

Not a relevant post but I'd love to share my experience I had yesterday on M9 motorway with my Civic VTI Oriel Prosmatec 2006. For the first time I drove my car to 170 kph and it can certainly do morethan that, it was a wonderful experience driving with that aggression. The car is almost 18 years old now but still powerful, comfortable and smooth drive.

I have reached to a conclusion regarding engine oil that API SL will never let gear shifting smooth either it is KIXX, Yamalube, SHELL or ZIC so I have decided that if I would use API SL, I will stick with Yamalube and if I require smooth gear shifting in summer, I will switch back to API SG and it is available in many good suppliers like PSO and SHELL.

KIXX engine oil is in my bike these days and it is hardly driven 300km but gear shifting is getting hard day by day and seems same pathetic as it was earlier with Yamalube.
