This carb setting for fuel screw is just a complex and if you start ignoring it, you will get better mileage and performance at 2.5 turn. There’s no need to turn it further towards any side and just check your bike performance at 2.5 turn.

i turn the screw at 3.5 but today my bike's plug miss fires while cruising at 80 kmph
i think i should screw it to 2.5 turns instead of 3.5.

Yes of course. Between, you will not get good mileage at 3.5 turns as you have opened up air and fuel both unnecessarily more than your bike require. Better to keep it around 2.5 to get better mileage.

I just spoke to someone and he told me that new Yamaha bikes are set to 1.5 turn from company as their default setting for fuel screw. 3.5 is no where near to Yamaha settings and it surely will not provide a better mileage.

Yes, I discussed with highly professional Yamaha mechanic and he is is this business since his childhood. It seems very much true now as more we open up the fuel screw, our bike lacks of power due to unnecessarily supply of air and fuel both and we do not achieve top speed as before even poor mileage. I am tightening up my bike fuel screw to 2 turns and will see the performance at this point first otherwise will tighten it up more towards 1.75/1.5 turn. There’s no need to open it up till 2.5/3 turn.

Finally it’s all set at 2.25 turn. Total running till now is 4700km.

There’s Video on YouTube by vortex rider about pilot fuel screw adjustment explained for Yamaha YBR. It helped me a lot to understand that fuel screw only controls the fuel while air remains same. To increase air, you have to remove the duct below seat which isn’t recommended by Yamaha. Anyway, in this video it gets pretty clear that more you open the fuel screw, average becomes worst. My bike fuel screw is set at 2.15 - 2.25 and this is the best setting I found so far to achieve best mileage as well as top speed.

Yamaha is offering free oil change in Lahore on 25th November means tomorrow at mashallah autos near shezan factory. Does anyone know that will it be completely free or we have to pay oil charges? Meanwhile, I will check the guy tomorrow for further detail.

Hi have bought a yb 125z and i need some help that when i start to kick start the bike the kick lever hits the brake lever the black one can someone plz tell me whats wrong..

First of all many congratulations to you for buying this machine.

This is by design actually which annoys me as well. This is the reason I never kick-start my bike, the kick crashes with the foot rest and damages the black paint.
