In the morning today, I decided to change the engine oil myself so I opened the bolt and left the bike as is for an hour to completely drain out the engine oil, then I replaced with the new one. I must say the bike now becomes more responsive and smooth, gear shifting has also improved a bit.

The purpose of sharing this experience is that, last time when I got the oil changed from the mechanic, they don't wait for the draining process to completely finished and replaced it like in 10 minutes. There was still a lot of oil left in the engine and I personally didn't observe good results after replacing the oil, like I did in the morning today.

Salam. I need some information from the owners of yb125z. I will really appreciate your help.
1. How would you rate its comfort level compared to cg125?
2. Are you satisfied with your purchase and Would you buy a yb125z again?
3. Do faults occur in this bike frequently? Is it reliable to be taken anywhere? Does it have quality issues like in wiring etc?

I had a cg125 for 3 years and i didn't like its hard ride. Now i am not sure which bike to buy. I am considering pridor and yb125z. My main concern is comfort. I am not guy who like top speeds and stuff because my top speed is 70kmh. Thanks in advance

YBZ is a great bike and one will never repent on his decision if he is more concerned with better handling, comfort and fuel average. It’s really a value for money machine. I am not sure about resale as I never wanted to sale my bike. You can take this bike anywhere and it has very less Maintainance. Its ride is way smoother than CG and have almost parallel exceleration like CG. I wouldn’t like to compare this with pridor but it’s way ahead than both Honda bikes. You surely will love it.

Many congrats for getting YBZ. There’s nothing to worry about and just keep driving it between 60 - 80km maximum till first 1000km and don’t forget to change its first oil around 500km then again at 1000km. Further you can cover your tank with glass coating to save it from scratches because paint quality isn’t that much good and you have to be careful for that.

Which engine oil you purchased? I am going to buy SHELL AX3 20w-50 again as it made gear shifting of my bike very smooth and also engine became less noisy.

Try SHELL AX3 red colour bottle 20w-50 to get rid of clutch slipping and hard gear shifting issue. However, morning start with choke is must these days.

My bike is in break-in period so I'm stick with Yamalube. But I heard a lot about Shell AX3, I'll definitely try it.

I have recently changed oil (again with Yamalube) at almost 1,300 km. My bike is 1,560 km driven as of today but I am now facing a strange issue that it seems to be missing at 8,000 rpm. Maybe I should refuel it with hi-octane to see if any difference. I am facing this issue since last oil change at 1,300 km. Before it was running smooth, maybe it is some issue with oil or pata nahi kis cheez ka. But I wasn't facing this issue with previous oil because I was not giving it that much throttle to go beyond 8,000 rpm. I don't know what to do. Clutch slippage issue is almost same as before which I was expecting to improve with the passage of time and oil change

hi octane petrol isn't the solution for this missing. regular fuel is good enough for this bike if you keep filling it from one reliable fuel station. Rest the missing at 8000rpm does exist in all yamaha new bikes. It happens due to less air and can be fixed by removing rubber duct based upside of air filter but yamha do not recommend that silly attempt. If you rev the bike till 8 to 10k rpm without gears, it must will sound like it is missing but when you will be running over it around 100kmph speed, it won't miss.

I'll check again coz I have never sped the bike above 95 kmph. I felt like it was more than enough speed for me and certainly it was above safety limits (bhai jee is mausam mein lagi chot jaldi theek bhi nahi honi ), for me if, fuel economy and reliability of bike is good, 80 to 90 kmph is good enough for me coz I sometimes run around 80 kmph for around 8 to 10 mins consistently which in my opinion takes a fair bit of toll on engine as well
