Yamuna Expressway - Noida To Agra

Hello guys,

Jaypee group,the private company which hosts the F1 in India has recently opened it's 6 lane 165 km long expressway spanning 165 kilometers.
The toll costs are going to be high but it is free until 15th august(Independence Day)

So i am some of my friends went to test drive it and it was really awesome,one of it's kind in india and no traffic jams!
But unfortunately we forgot to took high res camera and our photos from the mobile were bad quality.But nonetheless i am still posting some photos from other sources.

The only drawback i can see is that there are very high toll charges of 350 Rs approx.
And at many places the road is made of concrete so as to bring down the maintainance cost for Jaypee Group.

Otherwise it has brought down the trip of Noida to Agra by 2:30 hrs and now it takes only 100 minutes!

Seems neat, however you should avoid stopping on shoulders of such highways / motorways as high speed traffic especially HMT driving in the left most lane can be dangerous. Always use special parking / rest loops whcih are provided after every few kilometers.
Our people here have learned this after some terrible accidents on the Motorways and there are some who are still learning this the hard way.......

Yup...but it was the second day so traffic was negligible and they also have provided rest rooms at every toll..so its fun to go with family.
Now Agra will have a second wave of large number of tourists.

And one noticeable thing i found about this project is that it is totally managed and constructed by private company,heck they even have their own private highway patrolling police...i think this should be the model for south asia...big companies in our countries can really drive the infrastructure growth.
