Yaris Ativ 1.5 CVT 2021 vs Corolla 1.6 Automatic 2021

I need honest reviews from both car owners. Yaris Ativ 1.5 X CVT 2021 vs Corolla 1.6 Automatic 2021 .

Is Yaris worth the extra option and 7 speed transmission? I saw some reviews seems like even Corolla 1.6 with 4 speed transmission give same average.

My running is mostly in village area where the roads are not good, speed beakers, bumpy ride. Since Yaris has good options and ground clearance 12mm higher then Corolla but it's shape doesn't look good.

Average slightly less how much less ? I think on longer run Yaris give 17km+ under 120kmph ? Some people claim that

Corolla 1.6 Altis AT will give you max 12 on long. Within city 9-10

lol it’s not Sportage or Tucson that it will give such low mileage on motorway.

Easily 14-15+ if under 120 speed.

Lastly between these two it’s a no brainer that Corolla is a higher segment and much better car.

More spacious, better drive and better looks.

I’m not sure if 1.6 has features like cruise control that is a nice thing to have on motorways..

Fuel average might be a personal preference. A few Yaris's in family , home use driver driven they don't get fuel averages beyond 9/10 with corolla Glis they used to get 8/9 kmpl.

So not much of a difference unless you travel between lahore and Islamabad on daily or weekly basis.

I know all are corolla fans. But I wont recomment 1.6 AT. It does burn fuel like Sportage and Tucson.

Corolla would probably give you max. of 12 whereas Yaris 1.5 gives around 14 however corolla is a segment above and a better option in my opinion.

I have a Corolla 1.6 AT 2021. Figures are from my own use. As you can see from other comments Corolla AT fuel average is Tuscon sportage average +1 max.

What I miss is cruise control and fuel average. Overall I picked it over Yaris as it is a bigger car and more comfortable honestly to drive and sit in.

I’ve heard grande has way better average than 1.6 AT. Even if you check Suneel munjs reviews on this. He always quotes the average as 9/10 for this car

I have a grande

On motorway it gives 15 to 17km/L depending on your speed.

Within city it gives anywhere from 9 to 11km/L depending on congestion and how much braking you have to use.

Ok Sportage +1 is quite bad for 1.6 AT, if really true
.. even GLI AT is better.

Fuel Average - I never had experienced driving yaris in rural areas but my assumption is 1.6 will give you around 8-9 fuel average and yaris can give you around 11. In lahore i am getting 13.5+ in summers and 14.5 in winters.

Drive and comfort - Yaris shocks are too soft and they tend to bend more as compare to corolla. I think corolla will perform better in rural area as compare to yaris

Plus yaris front shocks have some weird dhaak sound when you hit any pothole and they are more pron to produce noises. I recently asked dealership to thoroughly check the shocks as mine was making noises. They applied grease on the bushes and now they are fine

Performance - Both will perform more or less same in this terrain, based on my experience both cars have same 0-100
