Yaris vs City vs Corolla

hi

so i am planning to get a car financed it started with alto but soon realized its not for me as even though i would like a small car but heard very bad things about ags. anyway so now I've shifted between yaris ativ x cvt or city aspire 1.5 cvt. but then i remembered that corolla 1.6 a/t is just 100k above city in price.

personally i prefer honda. my dad used to have civic 1990. then when i came of driving age i also had city 2001 and currently i have civic 96. so obviously i was leaving towards city but the new city seems lacking and the current reviews are pretty bad too.

now im really confused between the following. yaris ativ x cvt, city aspire 1.5 cvt and corolla altis 1.6 a/t.

now for some corolla altis would be the obvious choice but the feature set seems a bit lacking. mainly the transmission which is 4 speed a/t compared to cvt in the other 2.

yaris seems to have the best feature set as its the highest variant and comes with some perks but i dont think the build quality is great in that car. plus the shape i dont like either. but i can get over the shape.

what do you guys recommend i go for?

Among your choices, Corolla Altis 1.6 A/T is the best.
The rest is your personal choice.

There is no comparison bw Altis and Yaris/city.

Go for Altis 1.6 eyes closed.

Go for Altis 1.6, more value to money and best resale among the three

Corolla is one category above Yaris and City. If you have budget, then go for Altis 1.6.

Between Yaris and city, Yaris have better build quality, City have better shape, more features and resale (but price is not justified IMO).

I heard that Yaris CVT transmission is not the same/ at par with the CVT used in Toyota grande. So if you are thinking that CVT experience will be the same as that of grande, it might not be the case. Mentioned this as you are disliking the 4 speed auto of 1.6 Altis.
My vote is for Altis too.

i have grande cvt. trust me you do not want a cvt transmission. besides the lack of feel in driving, the maintenance cost is wayyy too much. offsets all the fuel savings. dont take my word for it, get yaris owner manual and check how many times you have to change transmission oil in cvt. also, the dealerships have no idea how to properly change cvt fluid and once its done improperly, the transmission belt is gone.
in grande it costs nearly 20k. dont know in yaris and city.

just buy grande and pray the cvt doesnt act up. if you dont want rubber band effect , get a 1.6 auto (i got one as well) and bear 10kpl average. otherwise go for grande its still the overall winner in its segment. bear in mind, come cvt oil chnge time, find some actual expert in a dealership who knows how to temperature maintain and calibrate a cvt transmission.

What's the service interval time for cvt oil change and how much does it cost? A rough idea would suffice.
