Yaris x 1.5 CVT VS Grande 2015 CVT 1.8

I have a budget of 4 - 4.5 million and these 2 cars I have in consideration.

Yaris X 1.5 CVT (2020 - 2021) OR Grande 1.8 CVT (2015 - 2016)

Corolla lovers please advise? For which option I should go with?

1.5 lacks comfort in any possible manner.
I didn’t find comfort driving 1.3 cvt and there will not be any difference in 1.5 vs 1.3 cvt.
Even my Gli 2015 has 10 times better comfort than this so called rikshaw type sedan which total waste of that much money in my opinion.
That car never gives feel that you have spend that much money on at least it didn’t gave me sign.
One thing is new model is better means less issues you will face and that grande becomes almost 8 year old but Toyota name for reliability make you buy well maintained car if you shortlist it.

i can say.. i m seeing lot of threads of corolla 2015 onwards regarding issues..and AC issue , Steering. etc

depends corolla is solid but our people abuse it a lot too.. mostly i have seen abuse corolla..

and reverse meter in v.common in corolla. old corolla well maintain definatly hard to find even v.hard ..

I opt for a Corolla Grande 1.8 CVT since the Yaris is way too small, and I can guarantee that you will need that extra space that Grande can provide.
Besides, with a 1.5 engine, it may not feel as robust as the 1.8 in the Grande.

Hi, i own a grande 2017 pre fl and have used Yaris 1.5 for quite a bit as well, there is little between the Yaris and the grande other than the price bracket since both belong to different segments, both have good fuel average, the grande has much better cabin space and seating comfort, the grande also has more power, however the Yaris also offers decent features and will be relatively newer, so less chances of something going wrong in the short term. really just depends on your requirements.

Grande is above yaris no doubt..but used grande speically 8 or 9 year old grande.. that car condition is kinda spectical like

most likely sometime that car need to go to workshop depends.. in karachi its way too hard to find old good condition grande.

i have seen 2023 grande driven 75k somehting in a year with requent visit of Nawab shah and some villages . ..

It depends, not all cars are driven so much or used in Interior Sindh.

My Grande in home use is with us since 2016 and is still in the 70K KM range.

if token tax is not a problem with you... then 1.8 is best. otherwise yaris 1.5 cvt is not bad at all.

Agreed, both cars are fine in their own regard, basically just depends on your requirements.

I think Yaris can be perfect for beginners who aren't comfortable driving large cars.
