Ybr 125G Low Mileage

Hi Pakwheelers

I own a Yamaha YBR 125G and noticed that it's only giving me a total range of about 300 km on a full tank. The bike has had it's first tuning and I have also changed the oil.

What is your mileage on your YBR? What am I doing wrong here?

Hi there. Hope you are well. I have 2019 ybrg and it regularly gives me 550 plus in each tank. It's a very simple machine so nothing much can go wrong with it. Which city you are from??

Check the spark plug if tip is black and a little wet then your bike is running on rich fuel mixture. It should be light brown for ideal mixture.

Well I also do short rides to and from office and for daily chores too. A clogged air filter basically ruins the average and the ride quality. Have u gotten that checked? And yes tuning also does matter but to do 300 km in 14 liters is absolutely nightmare. I once did like 620 kms in a tank but in last one it did like 560. But then I went to Murree with my son so yeah bike consumes more fuel and all. I wish u were in Pindi and I cud have sent u to my guy

Btw it just dawned on me that there could be another explanation for poor mileage: someone might be stealing fuel from my bike. I'm not too sure about this but there is someone who regularly cleans my bike and the person is new. I will explore this explanation last. First I'll have the bike checked and if there isn't an issue then I'll probably investigate further.

That actually did happen to me as well. So the best way is, fill your tank to the brim..... Like ultimate brim.... Reset the meter and ride the bike for day 80 to 100 Kms. Then fill it again to the brim and get the actual average. That will tell you that if the average then drastically falls, then this is the only issue with you. With a medium twist and changing gears at around 4k RPM, it easily does 40-42 km per liter within the city even bro. Once it gave me even 47 kms to a liter. Even if it's 40km, multiply by 14.... That's 560 Kms to a tank. If you are getting 300 Kms, then your bike is doing 21 km per liter. That's IMPOSSIBLE. Bro my Mira does 22 to 25 km per liter in the city...lol

Anyways, for your satisfaction, get it tuned. Fill it. Ride. Refill. Then find the thief. Simple

I'll do that to get the 1 liter average. I have also installed a camera where my bike is parked now. Lmao I will get to the bottom of this!!
