YBR-G with an Apache RTR-180 heart

A month back @vickytulla & @jigzKorner came accross a brand new ApacheRTR which was part oa a heavy accident and burned to ashes.. but its motor was 10/10 from inside out...

We fetched it from the scrap yard and came home, as one of @jigzKorner old buddy with his 2016 Model YBRg was weeping badly for power and as we have seen YBR/YBRg faces the same low power issue when it comes head to head with the 70's era road king.

So we swapped Stock 2016' YBRG with a Apach RTR Sports Engine.

Now the Bike is a power blaster - Hands Down.

0 to 100kmh = 8~9 seconds only
Cruise on doubling # 112~115kmh
Top speed is 130+ kmh (factory ratio 124kmh)

Removing the Stock engine...

Shoving a chubby fat a$$ Apache RTR into the engine bay... luckily bolts came on bolts... and then we had a big party.. lol

Apache RTR which is an OEM manufacturer of BMW motorcycle GS310 has gained a huge respect in my mind after I came accross this engine..

Its a master piece, it needs a CBR series plug, its hyper responsive and you just touch the throttle and it instantly readlines..

it took us a whole week to get its electricals sorted out..

it does not works with astandard CDI/ TCI we have and had to work around it to make timing advance as it revs fast..

long story short... its clutch, oil pump, oil filter every thing which we opened was actuall well engineered llike a pro..

loved working on it..

frame men bolt to bolt fit howa.. it was a moment to do bhangra moves...

And from all the praise YBR gets for its braking, i guess it's able to handle the additional power just fine. ??

And frankly myself too getting the itch of YBR now. Have had enough of GS fun....

my qst is.
was it co-incident that the engine fit same to same place? or did any jugadd for fitting it in place?

Braking is doing fine yes...

Well piaggio was never a Cult for me ever... but it became a badge becuase I expolred it in detail as it was the first fancy bike in Pakistan... which actualy tol people that they can have nice bikes too..

still chasis of my RP is lying some where in store.. ..

Lots of problems aer faced but we had a mechnic who knows how to tackle them in YBR chasis without any major alterations.

Secondly YBR engine and RTR engine share same bolt settings... so it minimized the labor..

But vicky bhai, isn't YBR smoother than GS? better brakes may be even better than GS SE? more agility to get through traffic?

The main question is how did a apache rtr end up in pakistan? were they ever sold here? are they available here even if they may be used? Is it possible that the rtr engines be imported?
