So people a day before yesterday my car showed up a major leak, I was shocked to the core, anyways checked all the hosing, but no source. I reversed my car, filled it up with filter water, kept a gallon incase. I made it to the nearest workshop and was told that the water body/pump was leak. I went straight to 3s and got a quote of 1800 for WB. 300 for seal 2500 labour. Had to get that done. i got hold of the salesman who got me the car at ps and i found out it was in extended warranty, claimed that and 3s took the car for two days. today I got it back. reason was tap water (which the previous owner used, ps didn't flush and i neglected). Was a good learning experience, mein mech k saar parr chara raha. New water body installed today process took 5 hrs to the least. I learned it the hard way how bad the internals can look with prolonged tap water usage.

it was all covered under warranty, the only reason being that the car i bought as "used certified" was already filled with tap water. thooray sey nakray kiya magar the sales manager helped me alot.

personally I thought coolant ki sirf hype hi hai. my own family members told me 90% gaariyan tap water par hain and they're up and running fine. but it ripped open the seals on the water body and corroded it inside out. My next trip will be for full system cleanup and coolant addition as I was already too late today and had other matters to attend to.

okay. That's what I'll do then. ps uses the exact same zic although repacked. Naveed bhai my next trip could take a couple of weeks so until then if i flush it myself and add filter water till then? would that be acceptable? i was a little reluctant to flush the radiator as I've never done it before but it's gotten too important. and then later I'll get the rad professionally serviced by suzuki.

1200 for 4 ltrs, while caltex is 900 a bottle (non diluted, i was quoted more ), right? sgp is green, caltex is red which is long lasting. people at ps said their would last 40k kms. btw sgp is zic repacked same as naveed bhai suggested

the zic and pyro green are guaranteed to protect all metals. but not so sure about the extended life ones like caltex.

i advise that we test the coolant in a jar, to see how it protects copper, brass and iron

the green ones are cheap, they are good for two years. but you should buy a trusted brand, there are plenty of fakes too.

what would you suggest? btw I couldn't find pyro. regarding osaka, people have extremely negative reviews,, is it because it lasts a few months or is it because it fails to protect?.

sticking to oem stuff is always the best option available.
As far as flushing is concerned, your ride is equipped with thermostat valve if i am not wrong so it will be a bit complicated as you will be doing it for the first time. Thermostat has to be removed first and after flushing put back in by applying silicon.One without thermostat is easy but still if you want DIY let me know if you need help.
Try to put coolant as early as possible. I hope and pray that it wont cause any harm during couple of weeks

it is just coloured water with zero protection
