I'm noticing some decrease in the water level in radiator , its not much just a little bit , whenever i top it up and check it after 2-3 days the water level is dropped , about half litre roughly

Plus the car is NOT taking water from the reservoir bottle , what could be the possible reason ?

Change the pipe which connect raidiator to expansion bottle even a pin hole leak and water won't return back in radiator and also check overflow pipe of expansion

your cap may b faulty or there is leakage from cap till reservoir bottle, & and use coolant n forget water check, now days i have a santro with coolant in radiator its almost 2000 km driven with me, 1200 long & around 800 Islamabad drive. i did not fill a drop of water in it, previously when i travel 400-500Km continuously on santro it reservoir bottle got empty.

i'll check the pipe for any leaks , what to check with the overflow pipe?

Brother the cap is fine i guess, i'll post some clear pics of the caps inner side
i'm already using coolant in car with water , i guess the main purpose of the coolant is o prevent water from boiling and save the internal pipes from the rust. i might be wrong too
