Sir you mean the real paint underneath is fine and its jus clearcoat which is just dried and damaged? Then I think its possible to wet sand to remove it completely and then have new clear coat sprayed.

How about the Lacquer spray cans available in market, will they work?

you cannot respray clear, you need to completely remove the paint and build fresh paint from primer level. What has happened is that the paint and clear have lost bonding ability, quite soon the paint will start delaminating from the primer too.

Lol, I never got it washed with dish wash detergent. Its roof paint wasn't in good condition when bought it, don't know what the heck previous owner used to do with it.
Yes used surf 4-5 time in start but then switched to meguiars shampoo and polish.

I seriously doubt the quality brother , the normal rate in market for a single piece is around 2k (local ustaad's)

If the quality is fine then there's no harm , but i would rather not let anyone paint the roof , get it wrapped in black or any other colour

Paint will devalue the car and the paint on the roof will make people believe the car was rolled over
