Guys need help from Lahore members.

Finally i have decided to get my car's steering powered with an EPS.

so i need guidance from you guys that should i go to some mechanic and let him arrange the setup or should i go to Bilal Ganj and search for Japanese alto's EPS setup and then handover it to the mechanic.

I think the whole job costs some where between 10 -15k, if you know any mechanic he does this job or any other sort of guidance will be appreciated a lot.

My mechanic has experience in installing EPS to many cars

I can recommend him to you anytime as he have already installed it in many cars and i drove 2 of them for test drive

Why EPs ? Why not HPS?

Everybody on PW is recommending EPS due to various reasons or you can say short comings of HPS that is why i decided to go for EPS.

It is because HPS puts load on the engine while EPS is easy to install plus it does not put any load on the engine at all

but eps has a motor. which tends to heat naturally. for eg a friend of mine has a 1996 accord with eps and has burned up the motor thrice maneuvering around pindi for all day. btw i read somewhere that eps needs a connection to the ecu? so what about carby?. eps are safer than hps nonetheless

After eps panga...I think hydraulic is better...eps worked for 100k km...tgen started acting up.

It is unsafe in case of collision.. steering linkages will stap the driver rather than collapse

They don't install vss and so eps doesn't harden at high speeds

They butcher the wiring

A pain to fix....in electricians ko bas install karna ata hai

Konsa ye rocket type bus ya truck ha jiska steering control kerna mushkil ho...

aik daam sahi baat hai. power steering na ho to handbrake sey bhi haath dorr rehta hai :p. wasiay personally i like how the stock steering is.

Mera to aik haath handbrake pr hi rehta hai even whithout P.S I feel it easy to drive with one hand until on corners and turns.
