Well a multimeter is far more useful than a test lamp , a multimeter can check continuity, resistance, voltage , current and many more things depending on the quality and functions the multimeter is offering

Yesterday I had my brakes done by @syncview

This crap came out, 4 bottles of oil consumed.

Previously I used to get shitzuki 3s to do my brakes...well...due to their negligence...my brake calipers have corossion damage

Car got proper grease and antisieze for the job....probably better done than factory ever did

There is no substitute for a test light, with experience you can even tell voltage correct to two decimal places just by looking at the brightness of the test light

With a multimeter you have to probe in and everything before you get a reading..not the case with the test light. Just pinch using the pointy head and there you go!!! Plus the pointy tester can be used for many other things too; such as removing grip pin holders and what not, with a multimeter you have to test then you get the test pointy test light to remove pins etc.. So why go through all the fuss, just go straight to the test light and be done with it. Multimeter is overrated anyways.

the other day i was testing my charging system with multimeter,it showed things were not optimal, i got everything running nice.. new wires etc....magar my car still goes as fast as it used to, it is still a margalla....so test light ftw....according to test light it was no problem and really its just that it starts faster and lights are brighter...test light was right...no problem

okay no more sarcasam

test light is not as precise as a multimeter

but it is good for some jobs when you just need speed

or when you are dealing with pulses, e.g ignition coil...most low cost multimeter can not handle pulses

pfft, what test light you talkin bout.

use a wire and spark it against the opposite polarity. spark = good, no spark = wrong terminal or dead circuit.

@DUDE007 Both sir jee. It can measure AC/DC voltage and AC/DC current. Google for complete specs.
