recently went to till Mangla (via Lahore) on a brand new Cultus and it changed my perception about Cultus
the fuel average was 17.5 km/L and i kid you not the journey in Cultus was more comfy then a 2015 Altis Grande except for the driver
the Cultus went like a boss and was able to keep up with the other cars till 130

Totally agree , i took my cultus till muzaffarabad and it went there with no problem at all , i was also able to keep up with vehicle upto 140 (with ac)
The fourth gear of cultus is more powerful than the fifth , just my opinion

off course 4th gear is more powerful because 5th is for high speed while keeping rpm low..

I went till murree and it went real strong although I was fearing it will disturb me. Howerver my cousin's civic 99 model got heatup on reaching back rwp

I was thinking for AGS GL 50 (11 plate 40amps) but then I think it may be bigger for cultus alternator.. any thoughts?

Other option is GL 48 (9 plate 38amps).

I guess I have AGS GL 50 its bigger then the stock one and I'm using it since May 2013 no need to change the alternater you'll only have to change the battery terminals. I had a Volta dry battery before and it only served for an year.

Thanks man.. GL50 is for Rs. 4250 while GL48 is for Rs. 3750 ... If shop keeper gives me GL50 for 4000 then I think I will go for it else will get GL48. Current one is Exide NS44L and lasted only 1.5 years
