Yokohama Advan A460, 205/ 55 R16

I have grande 2018 friven it with yokohama i would advise you to switch to michlien 215/55/r16

I think although the sidewall would be slightly better than 205/ 55, however, 215/ 55 is wider too, so the advantage gets compromised..
To me the only option other than the oem is 205/ 60, but no one has offered here convincing arguments in the favour or against!

Ill probably stick to the 55 profile but will go for Advan Db or other softer tires.

When I went to take delivery of my 1.6 Altis I drove to the showroom on my 7th gen civic which is on AdvanDb tires. On the way back the first observation was increased road noise even though I was driving back in a brand new car.

Affnan bhai the thing is if you get 215 it will absorb 85% of jumps that provides you comfort but 60 for side wall its useless cuz the sidewall issue on rough roads or plain road is not at all. One thing if you drive with yokohama it will depreciate the sale value of them and you want be able to enjoy the right its better to buy a car first stop should be a tyre shop and replace it with michlien and i gaurantee you that no matter how rough you drive with michlien it is not gonna lead to any wear and tear in suspension, reduces cabin noise aswell and overall at tyres too. Personal opinion is to replace yokohama with 215/55 r16.

You yourself has mentioned that Toyota did some tweaking with suspension and opted for Yoko Advan which is one of their best tyres.

I am sure you know that lot of R&D is put into cars and tyres are integral part, so if you change one component you are changing many factor contributing towards how car behaves.

Still if you want to change the brand, pls do but retain the OEM size;

I have 205 60 16 in my corolla pr3 facelift with advan db v551. My brother has facelift cvt with a460. Not much difference in drive trust me. A460 has better grip and life as compared to advan dbs. Keep the tires they are good enough. Then again depends on ur preference

Sir my advan dbs are also so much noisy after 20k on odo. All tyres loose their characteristics after a while

Since I use Advan Db in my other rides that I get to drive side by side the Corolla I can vouch the Advan Db is a lot more silent and comfortable than A460. The difference is not negligible.
