Yokohama warrenty card

Guys i just got tyres installed for my corolla 195/65/15

i went for Yokohama decibel advan v551 but the shopkeeper did not give me any warrenty card ....i had made clear that i want imported tyres not smuggled ones he showed me his certificates but at the time of payment he said he will write warranty on invoice ..no card...i confirmed from other dealer he told me there is separate card for imported tires ....is this the case because i am feeling there is some thin fishy in this ..

I don't think there is a "card" for Yokos. The usual way is the invoice with warranty terms mentioned. Some dealers have printed their cards but don't expect something similar to Sony World Warranty Card.

i was expecting some card of this sort as if importer is providing you warranty he must be keeping some record .....sheikh brother is sole distributor for Pakistan for Yokohama tyres......imported tyres are priced at 9500 almost and smuggled ones are being offered at 8300......some one can easily give us smuggled ones just saying these are imported ones

^^^ You cannot distinguish between imported and smuggled ones at a local shop. You will have to rely on his rapport / reputation. Else approach the importer directly and clear the air. These are local type warranty cards which are very convincing. Either way, if someone trust worthy is giving you peace of mind, go for it.
