Zero meter car "Applied For"

guyz help needed, i am getting my dlx today in isb, the dealer says that invoice will come after 10 days only then registration process can be initiated. For how long can i use the car on "Applied For" status and what documents to show if Traffic police stops?

This is a very common practice. Basically you will be getting a car that was actually booked by some investor. Usually investors pay showroom people to provide them open invoice so the car can be easily sold on premium. However I am assuming that in this very case the investor is not taking any premium and selling it without premium to recover this money that is why you will be getting the invoice with your name after 10 days. Regarding your question you will be having authority letter on which police is not going to say anything to you even if the car is applied for. There is a fine I guess of around 5K in case you do not get your car registered within 2 months of invoice date.

just use a plate go and make one ASAP

i drove 1 month without rego and every day militray guys bothered me in Peshawar !
and due to time issues i was not able to get a plate made of AFR but when i put the plate then no issue
so get that plate made

Carry a box of sweet in Vehicle Always, otherwise on every Barrier you have pay atleast 100 Rs

Take delivery of car after registration & Insurance is completed. do not be so overly excited, snatching & day light robbery from inside the locked gates is common trait across Pakistan. Choice is yours to exercise patience or carry great burden of 'uncertainty' every moment.

i was stoped by a policeman at a securtiy barrier in ibd and he said 200 km is the limit. He let me go bcz my family was with me but with final warning...
plus unregistered cars are hotcakes for thieves....

In Lahore the warden told me 50km limit as there is increase in number of car lifting of unregistered cars

If you purchased from dealer why did they not register it for you and then drive it away? Did you request that you will do the registration? That's a little risky as you won't get insurance right?

Ur right there is fine of 5000rs only after 60days

None , u just say its APF 2014 end of story.
buy a custom made number plate of ur choice and APF - 14 written on it.
when u get ur documents do the registration.
