Zotye Z100 Launch Price

Hello PakWheelers.

As per HRL Motors Facebook Page, The Launch price of The new Zotye Z100 will be Rs. 1,172,000/- That makes it to almost 1.2 million range. Do you think this car will be able to compete WagonR or even Faw V2 at this price range. Opinions are welcome.
Just to remind, This is a 1000cc chinese car.

I was waiting for launch of this car. I had hoped it would be somewhere around 8-9 lacs. I think this price is suicidal for the launch.

HRL RIP, at that price i doubt it will be able to sell any units. V2 all the way

if produced locally it should not cost more than mehran. In china full option retails at (35000 Yuan Means roughly 5lacs)
CBU's are always expensive. I dont think they have any plan to manufacture it locally. So its a big failure as parts availability will also be a concern.

Very difficult to compete against Cultus, WagonR & Faw.
They need to revise price.

I don't know what were they thinking when pricing this car at 1172000... sounds like a joke, a bad joke. FAW V2 is much better, safer and cheaper investment.

Pakistan auto market was already a joke. But this is funniest thing I have ever come across. Pakistanis should teach them a good lesson. These businessman think they can fool innocent people loot them Rob them....

Funniest thing is they claim they have Sun Visors and alloy rim as well wtf they think about consumers?

You can save a lac if you buy better v2. V2 is based to vitz platform and this piece of junk is based on alto. If you don't want to save one lac buy vagon r.
If have bit more money go for celario or JDM swift or city

If this car was below 11 lakhs it might have a chance to compete the market, looks like HRL didn't do much of market research (this includes behavioral study of consumer as well not only price comparison).

The test mules and older cars that i have seen are cheaply build third class chinese quality cars. Even cheaper than the faw V2,

They are marketing the car as an imported car. i wonder how are they planning to sell these teen dabbas beyond WagonR and other Japanese cars.

I mean what is the added advantage of this car? This is a copy a Suzuki Alto, the engine is small and it isnt even auto transmission.

I happen to know someone who has been in contact with HRL guys. They intend to launch chinese copies of various cars for example a copy of porsche cayyene in the future as well.
But after seeing the price of this car I guess they will learn their lesson the hard way very soon.

HRL is not real corporate . Company's heads are not taking right decision with car price. They should lower their prices up to 9-Lakh if they want to stay in the market. Pakistan's marketing History is entirely different as as we compare its economic system with the world. Hope the officials and Owners of HRL get my point.Thanks
