Sound of gear shifting

I got vitz 2012 few days ago.
38k mileage now. sound comes when shifting gears not much but one time in morning. do i need to change transmission oil if yes then which one? Or what could be the problem or it is normal

Change the oil, use toyota full synthetic cvt oil

there is a thread here on pakwheels which is giving away auction sheet information from chassis number and year of manufacture if your car is JDM and imported though auction system.

Go to that thread and check what was the actual millage on the car and if it is involved in any accidents and what was the condition of the car when it was shipped out of japan.

That thread has opened many eyes. people have been saved from dealership scams.

How much capacity of vitz transmission oil? all auto vitz are cvt ? 2011 and up models?

I think so, I am not sure of the capacity, it comes in a size of a rectangular can. That works. If you aren't sure if your gearbox is cvt or not. Check the gear lever. If the gears are P R N D S B, ITS CVT IF ITS P R N D 2 L, ITS NOT

Who verified the auction sheet? the dealer him self or did you get it verified your self from a reliable source?

How can the transmission create noise with 38K miles on the ODO, at 38K odo it doesn't even qualify for tramission oil change as well...There is something fishy.

I am not sure about your car but most cars have a transmission oil change interval of 40K how can noise appear so fast. Either meter is reversed or something else is fishy.

The vitz is cvt transmission, I got mine changed when i purchased the car, it was a silver rectangular tin with 4 litre quantity costs approx. Rs.4200.

Isn't vitz 1.0 CVT oil capacity 3.5l??

eveything is fine. On starting when speed is below 10 or 20
It produce sound like 'krak' gear shifting . Other than that no sound i heard. No sound produce on shifting R to D,D to R, etc

@rajpute Just try this thread once and post the results. This guy will also interpret the auction sheet and let you know if there were any defects in the car at the time it was auctioned.
