Help needed in tyre selection

Aslam o alikum people,im looking to buy some nice set of tyres for my 07 gli,
i have few preferences,
good grip in wet n dry,profile preference 205/60 or 195/65

these are the options i have in mind
1 pirelli p6000 (5.8k/tyre 195/65)
2.good year eagle f1 (6.8k/tyre 195/65)* 2.5 years old stock *
3.federal ss595 (6.5k/tyre 205/60)
4.yokohama s drive (7k/tyre 195/65 )

i am willing to spend a good amount,the purpose of this thread it to get suggestions,so feel free to gime more options

i have a few questions in mind,
what is an average shelf life of tyres??
if there are any better options what are they?
if anyone knows some shop/reference from where i cud get one of the above 4 tyres for a bettter rate,help would be appreciated

the tire tread and how fancy they look doesn't really matter. IMO continental are pretty good. good grip low noise, and they don't wear out too quickly.

S Drive was in my options when I was looking for changing my car's tyres.
All above ones are hard tyres.

Shelf life of tyres is 3 Years.(Anyone correct me if I am wrong)

For other option one and the only Yokohama Aspec DB. It is a soft and comfortable tyre.

I dont think you will find S drive anywhere. As only A Drive, C Drive, Aspec and Db Decible are available on the shops.

Go for yokohama....if u don't get S drive..buy Db cell series...must say beautiful tires..one of the very best i've ever had....lon life..tonnes of grip n very very quiet

no there not,only good year was hard n federal was awesomely soft,+ i was looking for 60 profile,if i dont get any better option, i will go for federal

Dear Friend, Taking in mind that You want to spend good amount in tires means you really want Ultra High Performance tires, Well The above said brand are ok but not of the class you are looking for,
i would advice you to prioritize you selection
1 Continental
2 Michelin
3 Bridgestone

The above brands are the most premium brands and are market leaders world wide, Continental is OE tire for Mercedes, BMW and Range Rovers,

Well You can Consult

Sir I am using the P6000 in my Civic, 195/65 R15, they are sports tires and not suitable for 65 series unless you can sacrifice comfort for sportiness and handling, there build and quality is definitely very good.

Among all those you have mentioned S drive are best.

I would highly recommend the Db Decibel AVS V550 and ContiComfortContact™ 5 or Michelin Energy XM1+.

I have also seen some imported Db Super E spec in 195/65 R15 they are also very good and comfortable with lowest possible noise.

Bridgestone Turanza ER30, GR80/90 are premium tires, stock on Bimmer 3 series and Mercedes E class and they will give you the best blend of handling and comfort if you can afford them.

Pirelli P6000 front two tires lasted for 57-59K kms and then burst, rear ones are still serving after 79K kms, price was near 6,200 last time I checked (made in Italy).

Michelin Energys 15" are stock recommended on Mercedes W202, all 4 working good for 75K kms, still like new, costed me 7.5K/piece.

dont really like the ContiComfortContact™ 5

Michelin Energy XM1+ isnt avalible in the market,checked it before as well for a friend

any idea if Bridgestone Turanza ER30 GR80/90 is avaliable?if yes what price?
i used pirelli p3000 before n was pretty satisfied with the performance,thats y p6000 is on the top of my list

Sir got a quote of 9,000 for Michelin Energy XM1 and 7,100 for Bridgestone GR80 without discount, GR90 are short.

Pirelli P6000 are not good for Corolla.

I think GR80, Db decibel V550 or Continentals are best for you, for low cost Kumho KH11 are also very good.

Unfortunately V550 are discontinued, which were the better ones, Db ES501 are available, 7,000 for Phillpines and 7,500 for Japanese.

Kumho KH11 are available for 5,500 Rs.

No idea about Continentals.

First of all i am happy u r getting rid of Generals now.
Go for Slick Toyo Trampio good grip/ handling the only thing to worry is wet/dry weather....
Jokes apart i have used Good Year Eagle F-1 on my Vti and its a good tyre. But finding a fresh piece is a hard job. And shelf life normally is 3 years but here sometimes the tyres are restamped.

BTW Dunlop SP 9000 is also a gud choice.

Well you can get ContiComfortContact 1 & ContiEcoContact 3 for 8.5 K per piece.
I was using Michelin Energy Saver in my corolla they last 48000Kms, Basically Energy savers are light weight tires with less grip and low resistence as well, and above all is that there fuel Effecieny varies between .3 to .5 % that is almost negligable, Soo avoid energy Savers , Go for XM 1 or Pilot Primacy, they are much better
