OK let me try to explain. The length of a pajero and a short wheel base suzuki is different. The 3 c series engines with original speed gear/ 4X4 transmission becomes very long in terms of their size and doesn't fit in easily in a suzuki. They can be adjusted with the original 2c or 3c non 4X4 gears which is smaller in length and can accommodate the rear shaft.
The problem with a 2c/ 3c with the gear of hilux is that in the case of a short wheel suzuki, the rear shaft has to be very small in length (as the surf hilux gear is too long) which results in vibration. And in offroading activity, where there is too much of flex in the rear wheels and too much up and down movement of the rear shaft, all the mechanical system gets problems.
It can be very nicely adjusted in a long wheel base suzuki but not in a smaller suzuki.
No doubt, 2c or 3CT are awesome engines with excellent torque but they become problematic in smaller suzuki's. Moreover their weight becomes three times the original engine gear of petrol and at times because of more weight with more power, the vehicle tends to dig inn the mud and sand. And lastly a kabli 3CT is not less than 1,50 plus 70,000 for the transmission.
The 1300cc original petrol engines are much more powerfull than the weight of the suzuki and kabli engine is around 1 lac plur 30,000 for the gear.
So i would recommend 1300 cc for a suzuki.
