One-off purchases in Pak usually end up costing an arm n a leg. Besides, Robinair is pricey (we're used to cheap but functional chinese stuff!). Adat kharab hogae hain.

1. If something is impeding blower motion then that might be the reason. If air speed is reduced and its noisy then you might need a cleanup.
2. How quickly does it blow the new fuse? At a specific time of day? In a specific condition such as only while AC in operation or just with fan only?
3. Last option would be replacement of blower (old blower motor with internal shorts), but isolate the problem first rather than part-replacement jugaar.

Heard about Cooling Master in G8, that he is a professional and charge the gas accordingly. Anybody else visited him? Our office vehicles go there foe AC works, one of driver told me but I doubt.

So I hooked up the gauges today and took some readings while the AC was running.

Conditions:
- Vehicle parked under full shade (in open but covered garage)
- Full cabin fan speed
- Air on recirc (inside air), couldn't do it on outside air since fan was throwing out 60c air and was going to mess up all readings.
- Only at fast idle (~900rpm): I remember low side being higher, around 60-ish (didn't take exact readings). Rest of readings at 1500rpm

Readings:
- When fans ran at half speed: 40 (low), 225 (high)
- When high speed fans kicked in: 38 (low), 210 (high)
- Outside (ambient) temperature: 35c
- Inside vent air temperature: 20.5c
Couldn't take readings for subcooling/superheat because radiator's hot air was messing things up. So till I get an insulated thermocouple, It will have to wait.
- Plus I do hear a faint hissing noise throughout the time aircon is ON, from behind the glovebox.

So whats the opinion here? I have some thoughts but I want your opinions without my thoughts clouding them.

I finally achieved vent temp of 6degC on ambient temp of 32degC.
"Topped up" with freezer's r134a.
Took an additional ~200g of refrigerant to get to 40(Low) 230-240(High) psi pressures.
Wanted at least 250psi on the liquid line but the coupler kept popping off. Any ideas why? It wouldn't come off when I pulled it but while filling it popped off twice, so I left it at the pressures attained.

Compressor was cycling on & off whereas beforehand it wouldn't switch off (tripping to prevent evaporator icing).

Instant Monetary savings over 'ustaad jee' solution: ~10,000rs
Comfort level inside car: from vent temp of 18-20degC moved to 6degC.
Savings from retaining one's sanity: Priceless.

At rpm above 1200 or so ad have chilled air. I thought I may be low on refrigerant. But to my surprise compressor kicked off. Can't get it back on. After sometime it came on it self. Happened two or three times.

I filled by weight. Should I check high side and low side for above diagnosis or it is case of heated clutch coil?

Is it normal to have car less cool air than at high rpm? I am not saying it is not cooling. But comparatively cooling is low at idle.

do you think my car came with thermostat in evaporation unit? Haven't seen my compressor cycle on and off even if its allowed to idle for hour.

kl ac mech ky pas gya tha gas check krwany it was around 41 on low side he said bhai gas boht kam ha gas dalni pry ge i ssaid ok he charged he 1000rs for it and cooling was little better.

To be absolutely sure you should check the running pressures. Ideally the subcooling & superheat too.
If you're using parts other than what was stipulated in the original design then the required refrigerant charge could also have varied. Just thinking out loud.

maybe you got original ac gas, where you brought freezer? and on which rpm you filled freezer?

I have a dilemma. I didn't use the whole can. Now the can tap sits on the can, the yellow hose is connected, and the hose is connected to the manifold gauge. Can I remove the gauges and yellow hose without the can leaking out all the refrigerant? I need to use the manifold for home AC also. @SER_GTR any ideas/experiences?

Quality of gas matters this year gas got from abu Baker and low side was around 30. The ac its too good to believe so far
