Default OEM leather stitched gear knob and finally got the OEM keyless remote key made

I bought this OEM gear knob about three years ago, it's slightly used. Will install it after I get the OEM multi-function leather stitched steering wheel.

How much did u pay for the remote? I need one too, the exact same one, as my Belta has only 1.
About the fuel injector nozzles, i meant to get them checked today. But all mechanics are closed for 12th of Rabbi-ul-Awal. Ill get it checked tomorrow.

And another question: my Belta uses the same keyless remote. Is it possible to make just a normal key for it, i.e. not the keyless one, and unlock my ride with the simple key? Or is there a sensor which requires us to make the full keyless remote as well?

You can't just make a normal key for the Keyless Go variant Belta. It uses a smart key instead of a metal key. Here is what it looks like (picture was taken by @khangee)

And no, you don't have to insert it into anything. You can just place it in the dashboard or keep it in your pocket. To start up the engine, keep your foot on the brake and push the button to start.
My OEM RFID remote is exactly same like yours......I also saw your another post where you had showed another key with remote....does that work the same? Anyways...I would text n call you today...if I can get a duplicate remote in one or two days then certainly i will go for that !!!

Didn't you get a spare key with the keyless entry remote? You should have, but yes you can get a normal spare key made. No there isn't any such sensor, just get an OEM Toyota blank key it'll cost you 400-500rs and get it made from a well-known locksmith.

That's not actually mine, I mentioned in my post that the picture was taken my @khangee. No, the keyless entry remote cannot be programmed with the Keyless Go smart key.

I have received your message, will try to call up the guy and text you back.

    Ok Thanks Murtaza !!
The different keys/remote variants had caused little confusion at my side but now atleast The proper remote name confusion has been removed now at my side....mine is keyless go smart key (RFID), as there is no physical key...just a remote...which needs to be there inorder to start the car (by push start button)

Only the remote the blank key comes with it as default. The program chip inside is the one I had in my old keyless remote.

    Default Good News!

Ok, so I got my Belta checked today. The mechanic removed the throttle body, and showed it to me. It was kind of like dirty if you will. And he cleaned it with pertrol, applied grease again to the body. Next he put it up for drying.

While drying, he had a chat with me, and said, "Sahab jee. Belta baich do. Ye Japani garion ka engine 40k kms k baad farig ho jata hai." And I was staring at him. He wanted me to "get rid" of my car and go for a GLi. Bah.

After putting the throttle body back, he told me start the car. I had a test drive and was like OMG. Its hard to recognize it. One can not say it is the same car. Really satisfied with the pick. Havent had a chance to record the 100kmph timings, nor the fuel consumption. Lets hope for the best. Thanks for the advices (specially Murtaza).

About the question, do JDM cars really give up after 40k kms? It seemed weird to me.

    Thanks again!

Wow, I am amazed that you actually let a mechanic touch your car (unless I trust him or I know what he is trying to do). I personally would never ever do that but then that's just me.

Engine dies at 40,000Kms? The guy was either tripping on acid or he's just plain retarded. Didn't you ask why the engine of these 'Japani gariya' die out at 40,000kms?

That's the same case that happend with Mazda RX-8 which local 'dealers' and so-called 'ustaads' started. They said the rotary engine of the RX-8 dies out at 40-50,000kms. Which is total bs, the rotary engine needs care unlike every other engine but yes it needs some extra care. Hell every sports car needs extra care to make sure it runs like it should.

Anyways, now the reason he said this is that a huge majority of people that buy JDM vehicles don't maintain them at all. JDM vehicles don't require much work except your regular check-up. Now when they're completely battered the sheet out of by their owners they go to these so-called 'ustaads'. These 'ustaads' don't know jack-sheet about ECU based engines or in their language 'computer wali gariya'.

Since they're use to fixing carbureted engines and that's all what they've been seeing and working on since they have started working on vehicles.

If you're facing a problem with your car get it scanned with an OBD-II scanner and get that problem diagnosed according to the errors that show up on the scanner. Don't take your cars to your local lalu, pappu or whatever the hell they're called. I've heard a lot of stupid stories with mechanics screwing up pretty good engines.

Where can I find Belta replacement body parts? I'm just wondering if I'll be able to change my bumper in a years time. Driving in Karachi really takes its toll on cars. Just today a truck rear-ended me and there is a mild scratch. Will take a few more over the months...

I agree too I'm so paranoid about my Vitz too getting scratched driving here in Karachi. I already have a slight scratch / hairline dent near the back wheel fender. Dunno how that happened :-/
