Got this in December 2004 brand new. the first photo was taken in 2008 and 2nd one was taken cpl of months before it was sold out.

Tried to maintain it to the fullest until sold in May 2012

Cpl of days back the new owner called me and thanked me for taking care of this car as it still drives like new though 100k was clocked at the time of sale.

no comparission of red mashallha , products and process perfect , simply compare these pics with couple of months back pics and i am sure there would be very big differnce and jazakallha for joining us yesterday though missed u at nashta

pls share ur feedback about opti seal , pro cons, duarability, application methoed etc

Opti Seal is very easy to apply. Just spray some on the yellow applicator pad and wipe on the surface. No need to take off. Since you do not have to take it off, it is very easy to overapply. It takes 24 hours for complete bonding to the surface. Any application of wax should be after that. Regarding durability, I just applied so it will take time to know how long it goes.

The product that you used is expected to last for years and not a year. Plus you wouldn't be getting the full potential of the product even in terms of gloss let alone durability if you don't follow the proper instructions provided by the manufacturer.

For future reference the car surface should be viped down with 15-20% IPA depending on the purity/quality. It removes all the oil from the surface providing the best surface to bond. Giving the longevity to the product. Personal experience a 1 and a half year old opti coated vehicle still beads water when I checked it last month.

A complete claying just before the procedure a good prep provides the highest gloss possible surface.

It's an expensive product too.

Don't take me wrong I'm only criticizing so you can improve as much as you can. You are using the highest quality products. Achieve the best you can out of it too.

Maybe you can gift me some IPA wipes :)........regarding the application process it was just an experiment to see what results I will get. This red car is a guinea pig right now.... ...as long as I have some time on my hands.

Thank you for not taking me wrong. As far as IPA wipes go ive never used them to be honest. Ive tried and read as much as I can on using IPA and basically I get good industrial IPA either 70% or 90% and dilute it accordingly to appropriate strenth. Usually anywhere in between 12 to 20 %. The choice of what concentration on IPA i use also depends on how soft the paint is becasue IPA at any concentration tends to temporarily soften the paint. Very high concentrations like 50% might excessively soften the paint and can cause marring when you work on it after the wipe down. A safe range that i have seen and experienced is around what i stated. People go upto 25% with comfort and ease and you can use that too.
