Just went to Katy's today and checked out the stuff available. It is in various thickness levels. I personally checked the 1inch, 3/4inch and the half inch samples. Got the 3/4inch sample. Posting pictures here.
It is a foam type material usually used in refrigerator type products. The brand is Aeroflex. it is similar to Jumbolon but the material is much denser! plus its also much thicker than jumbolon. It is better than jumbolon would do a much greater job of sound deadening than Jumbolon. I wouldnt really compare ith with dynamat because Dynamat though expensive but does its job very well. This stuff is (aeroflux) is also heavy but is again foam. Only the 1inch thickness one has the aluminum layer on the top, rest all are simple foam. And again all the variants are self adhesive. Peel off and attach
