I contacted PSO ta'aluq helpline and got an answer for the diesel.

their product is 1% max sulphur
and mininum cetane number is 45.

Now there is a bit of confusion here. 1% sulphur content is a pretty wide margin.

Standard specifications say the diesel to have max. 1% sulphur. The actual product in Pakistan contains between 0.3 ~ 0.5% sulphur. So 1% is the maximum limit.

For KSA, in fact I have a diesel car here in Pakistan bought in 2011, whose owners manual recommends an engine oil change after every 2,500kms for KSA. While for some other countries it recommends even 10,000kms as well. This is not possible unless domestic KSA diesel has a higher content of sulphur. Also crude extracted in KSA has a very high sulphur content.

Brother Mobil Delvac MX is available in 50L drums in Gulshan-e-Iqbal Block 13D at Bedford truck station and lubricant centres.

I think they will give u close to Rs.500/L. Its a very close call between Delo Gold Ultra and Mobil Delvac.

ENGINE OIL QUERY Toyota 2.0D SE 07 - Mobil Delvac MX ESP 15W 40

Use whatever Xulfiqar bhai will favour as long as I know Delo Gold Ultra is his favorite (atleast in Pakistan).

No one would believe me but I am using Delo gold ultra in my 1988 Accord after Xulfiqar bhai suggestion since 5 years and also in its manual gear oil and it running like a gem soundless even after 280,000 km.

LiquiMoly and korean brands like KIXX/ZIC etc dont know how to make diesel engine oils Chevron and Mobil has a century old legacy.

This oil is "Emissions System Protection" oil - thats what the ESP stands for and its CJ4 grade, good even for high EGR flow engines. Oil is selected on the engine type, I would use this oil if its easily available, infact I would use it in all oldschool petrol engines too (cam/rocker type)

What is its ACEA rating? Can you write it aswell?
Its not in the front side of the bottle, but perhaps should be mentioned on the back side.

Delvac MX is the best diesel engine oil available in Pakistan for commercial or light duty purpose even better than the best Delo Gold Ultra and now @Xulfiqar bhai has also confirmed it.

For those people who have a BMW 535D or AUDI R10 TDi and a racetrack in Pakistan there is always Delvac 1 which is sold at price of twice as high as Mobil 1.

Omg I got an important question!
I recently asked a driver who drives high end cars, Mercs etc. about Diesel German cars in Pakistan, he said there is no point since the Diesel quality is very low here and it clogs some next level filter. What about DPF cars? Like Mercedes Blue Efficiency?
I've seen numerous Bimmers get Diesel from Shell and Total in Faisalabad.. And I've heard you need some additive for Diesel Audi's e.g Quattro etc.
Turbo lag is like foreplay. You know it's coming. And it's gonna be good.

I would agree with the engine maintenance part and diesel fuel quality.

I have seen all diesel cars including even a slightly used BMW F10 523i and W221 S250 CDi emitting smoke from exhaust while accelerating. The former was a middle east consulate one and the latter was of some government official.

Say you get the car maintained properly from Dewan and you're the first owner(friend of mine has a 320d in uk and wants to import next year or so) does that make a difference? He's curious because diesel has better fuel average than petrol

The only good mechanics left in KHi for common rail diesels are in DHA Phase II Karachi.

Other than that you are on @Xulfiqar bhai advisory.

It does not sound good for a person importing BMW to care about fuel economy (atleast in Pakistan).

The 2.0L valvetronic with 6 speed auto of 320i available in UK is equally good and produces 150PS and 200NM of Torque almost equal to a 2.4L toyota camry motor.

if the valvetronic head needs work - kiss your car goodbye - removal and replacement requires a small truckload of BMW service tools.

Which brand and model do you recommend for easy use in Pakistan, it could be either brand new or about 15,000km driven.? I personally like Audi's but they are usually FWD

So it's either a BMW or a MB.

Well, this is something which comes after keeping a regular observations on the vehicle.
Its really hard to explain this phenomena in words, but its rather true.
Or as an experiment, pour less viscose oil (0/20, 5/20 etc.) in your car and touch the bonnet with your hands (from the sides) and 'compare' to find the results.

    Marlboro

And you have to start the process at least three days before the test for best 'results'

marlboro with garda would cause your "check engine light" to illuminate with the intensity of a 55W halogen lamp.
