Not much progress on the VW except chassis bottom plate has been welded back on the tunnel....took a lot of time as needed to ensure correct alignment. The rusted areas in the head have been patched and now floorpan is being fabricated. Denter insisted on making it himself so i relented as need them to be 100% motivated. Meanwhile body now has got a coat of primer. Denter will start finishing the body metal work once done with teh floorpans and chassis.

Mohsin bhai,

  I snooped around the garage yesterday evening with Danyal. Great to see the bug in primer. Denter was copying the floorpan pattern onto the steel sheet..... Lets see what he comes up with.

 Amin sahab and I have already poked our noses into this. Honestly, Amin sb did most of the work. We tried to fabricate the sunvisors from scratch looking at just pictures and some measurements off a Parsi owned 57 ragtop oval's sunvisors. 

 The finished product was not impressive but it gave us a very good idea of the dos and donts. I think a second attempt shall yield sweeter fruit. I think we three should join forces!

not much to report lately as progress a bit slow. Denter is working on the most difficult part of the body i.e. the top. It's got areas where very skillful denting needs to be done. Will post some pics today.

thanks. yes, there is but thats how it is....cant hurry up with this one and no shortcuts. If cash flow was not a problem, I could have completed the work by mid march max. But I have to balance a lot of things going on at the same time...however, there are 2-3 people working on the car everyday and thats good enough I guess.
