Modellista rims, absolute no no! Like you said yourself, it needs deepdished wheels and staggered ones would be even better to give it the stance that it deserves. The wheels sitting next to the hood seem like worthy contenders.

please do not keep the fender wents as they are ruining clean lines of the car mashaALLAH beautiful. plus the hood scoop needs to be some what blended in with a bonet. rather then being attached with screws or ribbits.....

i would love to see the clean smooth lines of this beauty.

personally i dont like the hood scoop.

Fouad Bhai, I have been thinking about importing a Mustang shell and then rebuilding it by importing parts from the US. Is that legal?

Danyal: I'm not completely aware of the legalities involved, but I think a shell needs to be imported as a car, for you to be able to register and use it later. For this, you will have to pay the tax / customs duty regime that would be levied on such an import. Alternatively, if you import the shell as scrap metal, you certainly won't be able to register it later (unless a future government plans a tax amnesty scheme like the one the last government just did). The best person to guide you, would be someone from FBR / Customs.

one advice.

i know you have done plenty projects.. I think it would be a good idea to.. document it on video step by step as we see on dicovery channel people restoring cars..

maybe in future u can sell it to some tv channel and make some cash back.. also, as this is ur last build it will be a special memory.. of the car.

the idea just came in my head.. hope it works out for u

I think that's an absolutely splendid idea, brother. To be honest, though, there are practical impediments to this. First off, I'm not a professional 'restorer', and am thus unable to devote every single day and hour to chronicling the rebuild. The next aspect is the obvious lack of interest in such a subject. We don't have very many programmes that air desirable cars on TV...what to speak of programmes such as Overhaulin' or Pimp My Ride or Orange County Choppers, that deal exclusively with rebuilds.

You proffer a great idea...just not one that might be easily implementable for me, personally.

Good to see sustained progress in the restoration and may everything go according to plan. I would suggest sand blasting after the hand removal to ensure the chemical residues built up over the years are thoroughly removed. I doubt removal by hand will do it, but i'm sure you know better than me in this area of work. I just take pics of cars I see as I go by.

i know .. But i believe. If u have potential to create something different..... A beautiful ride .. U can introduce something in media too.. I m sure lots of people out there would love watching it especially younger generation .. And all these auto. Events. Will promote it even more. U should try it..

Sorry for the prolonged absence, gents.

Let it suffice to say that the build is plodding along, slowly but surely. Currently, we're preoccupied with a four wheel disc conversion, a rear end swap, fitting a limited slip differential, and wheel selection. Photos will surely follow.
