Wild Drive Around Manhattan recorded on video in record time

Driving through Manhattan is worst nightmare especially in early morning and evening commute times. This can be judged from the fact that I drive through Manhattan everyday to work and the distance to my work place from home is just 16 miles but it takes me 2.5 Hours in the evening commute. 70% of this time is spent while crossing Manhattan (6-8 miles distance).
Few days ago an unknown driver drove across the city (FDR drive which loops around the city) in early morning hours in record time. The total distance is 26.5 miles loop around the city. The drive did it in 24 minutes driving a 2006 BMW Z4. The driver recorded the video on dash cam and posted on YouTube within 2 days the videos crossed more than 400K views and adding more daily as it was covered by all major news network even in Europe.

NYPD was looking for the driver and caught him today (within 24 hours after the news came on news channels) as he was caught on various surveillance cameras all across the city. If you obey all laws you can cover the distance in about 40/45 minutes.

Why he is caught, what are the charges? He crossed other cars from right and may have done over speeding.

He drove double the speed limits and on few stretches around 100mph. Speed limit is 30 he averaged around 66/70. Abrupt lane changed as well as making life of others on the road endanger. Around 150 plus violations.. As per newspaper..

Please don't say that ! The people who think that America is behind every bad thing happening in Pakistan is going to declare you as an agent of USA and you will be bombarded with cheap comments.

Regarding the post the guy got what he deserved for breaking the law. I wish someday I get to see such laws implemented in Pakistan as well

How come no speed cameras caught him?
This means that you can drive beyond the speed limits when theres no traffic without worrying about the cops,unless you post a video of your genius stunt on the net

There are speed camera as well as red light cameras. Both sends automatic tickets to the address at which license plate is registered by mail. The guy stopped at all res light camera.. As far as speed camera. He is already caught and you never know the automatic tickets are already in process of being sent..

I will be happy to be caught on camera than by cop. Reason being the camera captures the plates and camera tickets put no points on your license.

One should worry about speeding as you never know the cab next to you might be undercover

The video would've been 1000 times better if it wasn't in a fast forward mode and had actual car sound. This guy got arrested not for over speeding but because he ruined a legendary video by adding *** music and making it fast forward
