• Regarding Liana , market feedback is not so good.Can any one tell me what specific issues Liana has on CNG and does it built with quality like 2000 civic? and how about maintenance cost.
• if we compare 140,000 km driven CIVIC with 70,000 km driven Liana which car needs more repairs.
• How much % of money I am gonna loose if i sell Liana or civic.
• PLATZ and LIANA are both compact sedans which should be preferred as best buy considering resale.
• Which car gives less trouble on CNG Platz or Liana.

I know This topic has been discussed many times but trends in our market changes after every 6 months.So please recommend which one suits me the most I can afford 7000 MAX rs/month for maintenance and fuel and my daily usage is 30 km and once in a year to LHR-ISL.

Regarding fuel its only up to your discretion,go for a 6th gen good civic no matter if that may me 96~97 model but do find a good one and spend 7k only once in a proper useful manner and rest/enjoy for next 7 months.

bro i'm driving a 98 XE, yes it's a great ride but it demands regular maintenance even though i have always kept it in top notch condition.
Go for a newer car, i'd suggest go for Liana 07'
Lianas are cheaper to maintain too.

Liana 07 go for it.

Most of the members top ranked car under this budget in last forums is CIVIC 98 but now i am can see most of the suggestions are in favor of newer models.I have to make my decision before Eid so need to clarify few things.

a Honda is better than a Suzuki at any time of the day. you'll need to struggle a little and do some khwari but it will be worth it, i.e., you'll find a clean 2000 civic or city, and it will be within your budget too!

bro the best option is liana..im a fan of liana...most of people will say dont go for liana blah blaaaa but they have not driven once.belive me liana is very gud car in ur budget.

among these i would suggest CIVIC all the way from 96 to 2000

but being sincere i would say go and get ALTO VXR CNG.....

depend upon your family size...... too eco and trouble free

believe me it will take only Rs.2000-2500 worth of gas for whole month and rest you could spend on its maintenance and extras

But i m looking for sedan and already have 04 Coure which is quite economical.Only confused between Platz,Liana and Civic 2000.
Only issue with CIVIC that it's old and i m worried that it might took some of my time from JOB to visit mechanic.
Liana status in our market is also questionable? already asked few questions no one answer yet.

remeber as of my understanding...... inwhole pakistan no one will sell you CIVIC99-2000 if its gem from 4 corners & trouble free for your budgeted amount Rs. 7,00,000. However, if stolen, paper less than thats another issue....waste of yur hard earnings....

Similarly, civic97 to 99 will get you involve in its mechanical issues. so leave it as well. spares would be high as well in compare to liana

am inexperienced in LIANA issues but buy the higher model that is atleast 08 model.... coz there is pain up till 07 model...

leave imported ones as really hard to get the spares of it..... you will be regretting after purchase if you have to..cuz... atlast you have to move on road and motor bikes donkey carts, chinchis.... i wonder if you got your car knocked by these then atleast at the time of selling you will want those to be removed off and so you may run out of your budget again or perhaps will be selling it at loss.

1. Lianas are really well built and fyi the early 05 models were solely imported jdm ones, as for maintainence if you consider parts than yes they are a bit costly, same for the platz, but if all the necessary routine maintainence are done then lianas perform trouble free . . . i think civic might perform the best on cng among the three and maintainence (considering parts as well) is quite cheap comparatively . . . rest is answered in 5th point
2. repairs depends upon the kind of car you get, ofcourse the deeper you search a gem in the past the harder it gets to find one
3. civic has a good resale comparatively but if you find a decently priced top notch liana it wont be as bad in resale. Parts and maintainability of civic is cheapest of all though! platz is a toyota and they always have good resale considering condition as well.
4. all platz are toyota+jdm so reliability is endless, but since you are opting for an old platz then resale will be more or less same.
5. Lianas usually loose total pick if aftermarket cng is installed, if you get one with factory fitted cng and low miles than keep it well maintained and it would never give up on you, you just have to consider that lianas engine is a bit too sensitive and double care must be taken if cng-ed, else petrol version will be far more better option and hassle-free,long life.(cuz at the end of the day and in the long run petrol engines last more longer and hassle free, remember, they were neither built for or tested on cng when researched & produced in japan first, only later they get assembled in pk with cng)

30km daily and 7000rs is more than enough for routine maintainence and fuel both!
Personally, i would recommend you to get a petrol liana with low miles, ofcourse after thorough checking of the engine and body!
