Hello pakwheelers.
I got civicx 2019 few months back. Now started using AC . When AC is on it feels like some load on engine. Is it normal in X? Because in slow traffic movement when compressor turns on and off automatically it feels frustrating.

Previously i used city 2016 model for 3 years but i didnt feel this in city.

I went to Honda , they said minor load on AC is normal.
They didnt check it thoroughly but just told me. i also wasnt satisfied with their answer

@javalogix so whats your experience ? there is no difference if AC is on or off in your case??
and what do you think what could be the reason in my case?

I personally dont notice any performance difference b/w AC ON / OFF, I drive a 1.8 Oriel. Other people can chip in with their experience.

If possible, drive someone's else civic and check the difference!

there is slight load and you can feel it...

it is normal no need to worry, also check if compressor is tripping etc??

Anybody getting any whining noise from their Civic X AC compressor? Changes with the RPM and sounds like a dust blower true Trent 700 style
No difference in AC performance but could this be the sign of something about to go wrong?

@waqar747 thanks for mentioning it yes exactly. and one of the AC technician told me this whinning noise is in all civics. And believe me its much annoying.

@manobilla16 thanks for clarifying. yes Compressor trips fine. I wasnt expecting this slight load in this 1.8 engine specially when i didnt feel any difference in 1.5 city previously. In bumper to bumper traffic this is very annoying .

@pwuser157926321679 yes this is normal i am also experiencing this slight load in my civic and also experiencing this whining sound of ac compressor this sound is also normal.

I have 4 years old CIVIC X and there is no load when is AC in on.

dear Civic has a variable speed orignal compressor. it doest trip and turn on or off. it works at variable speeds in association with climate control.

if your ac is turning on and off than it means its orignal compressor has been changed and some alteration has been done to air conditioning system that is why u r feeling load with AC compressor.

if the cooling is ok, drive it for now. next time it goes bad, switch to orignal configuration and orginal fitting.

Using Civic since May 2017, never felt such issue.

I've been using a 1.8 Oriel as a daily car for 7 years. Never faced any of these AC issues.

If I convert 8th gen civic reborn 1.3 hybrid from Auto to manual transmission, how will it affect it's performance (0-60) and fuel average?

My civic X 2017 driven 83k kms has had a problem ever since I have had it from 30k kms. It produces a humming noise between 1500 -1800 RPM. Not in N, but only in D or S.Also feels like the car is choking between these RPM levels. Anyone else that has encountered the same?

Hi. Yesterday I got the battery of My Civic X 2021 changed. Now both the traction lights are on when i start the car and they dont seem to go away, by restarting, pressing the traction button etc. Is it normal and will go away or do I need to do something to make it go away? Thanks

It's predecessor 2002 civic had a manual hybrid variant, so putting a local manual gear from a reborn or the manual gear system from 2002 civic hybrid isn't possible?.
