Its hot selling coz of Atlas gimmick & trick... Remember at launch 7000 units booked and out which over 5000 were Turbos... later forced tricked converted to Oriel... the price hike from 2829 to 2999- the fuel drama etc to make Oriel stock clear and sell well before it phases out... there is a huge cut for Atlas clearing old stock so they strategized and many of us got trapped buying Oriel.

They cannot phase out Oriel until they have a stable Turbo product. So for now it's too early to predict any thing.

Claimed new Navigation unit in December for Turbo. .. turning true!!! Its the new batch product having the upgraded suspension setup also brilliant! It will take couple of days to reach here in Sindh Karachi. .. so Islamabad and Lahore are the early birds to taste the best of Civic X... smoother quieter stable and more comfortable ride & latest bug free entertainment nav unit. Wow glad the units are out to be delivered... will appreciate drive review if any one gets their hands on the 2017 units first?

Oriel is continued to clear old R18a stocks and destined to phase out since is launch... no point predicting, its obvious!

comforting Oriel owners to hear about a year but its just a year left for them to be owning an obsolete variant.

I believe to doubt that this knocking issue in Turbos is deliberately infused in ECU to deter & steer away potential turbo buyers towards Oriel. They could have done ECU firmware update earlier which they are doing now...
Anyways their target of clearing R18 stock seems to have completed with bookings till june and now with all new entertainment nav unit suspension setup upgrade and ECU firmware update for Turbo- Atlas is focusing to accelerate turbo sales in the upcoming quarter.

Yesterday got the new ecu update from honda dealership for the turbo knocking issue. Basically its an update for VSA/ABS no idea how it is linked to the knocking issue. Because when the car was new there wasnt any knocking issue.

It was a 15 min procedure and people at honda seemed so helpless. I could have done that my self without reading the instructions. Lets hope it help my car still knocked but just once since the update. Any one other got the car updated?

suspension

So my friend, turbo had the poor suspension which got changed, then again turbo had the bad navigation which got replaced and finally turbo again had poor vsa programming which had to be updated

Sounds like Oriel was just fine even earlier while turbo had issues (as expected in new car/tech launch)as I'm yet to hear any oriel owner being called in for an update

The other side of your argument is actually like all civic x variants needs improvement ...its just the premium first class exclusive customers are getting serviced and upgraded by Atlas to enhance comfort & driving pleasure while the economy class soon to be phased out obsolete variant i.e Oriel is not even bothered to be considered for an update or upgrade . .
So be happy driving Oriels. .itnay main tou yehi milay ga bhaiya!
Thats why no Oriel wala has heard from Atlas or called upon by dealerships.
