Received my Rallye Red Turbo 2017 manufactured....absolute pleasure to drive...

Congratulations, Allah naseeb kare. Please share pictures did you get new/upgraded multimedia unit or any complimentary addon from dealership.

Hahaha...complementary add ons in Pakistan...I am lucky one that they give car in complete unit...bhai this is Pakistan...they behave as they are doing mercy on you giving car depite taking your money...they have quota of 2 smiles per customer...which expires very quickly..car was handed over me in very dull dusty shape so have to service myself.Anyway...I don't know about how new multimedia looks or how was old ones but I know one thing that I.... let me correct actually my 7 years and 10 years sons are using and surprisingly it is still smooth like butter....you can better imagine how much that has resistance...both kids have actually swinged the system to mad state ..I really feel sorry for that system...back entertainment for kids is real beneficial for me at least in my case....otherwise in my previous car either one of my kid used to fall on me during driving while trying to operate unit from back seat....I read whole manual I didn't find any engine breakin period or milleage...Honda people told me to drive as I like they said it is in warranty how we will know how much speed you drove in either case .As far as knocking is concerened....First fill was by Shell V power and drove 150 Km no knocking till now....in manual it is explicitly written recommended is 91 Ron or above but in emergency you can use 87 Ron but metallic knocking will be heared...see what happens in comming days....a bit confused about remote engine start...may be I am using in wrong way as it some times starts and some time not...just read small line in manual which idicates something that.... maximum two times you can start engine by remote start...still have to confirm otherwise would be required to see honda people...on armrest underwhich rear entertainment is stored there was some thing like very small stone under leather which I immediatly claimed....in addition to that honestly I didn't find any flaws in built quality...overall it is quite acceptable better to say pleased to receive that...joints spacing, rubber are all placed in right position. Rallye Red is too eye catching noticed on every signal Warden looking at you....you have little margin of mistake and to getaway with that...in my white car many time drove forgetting seat belt...but in Rallye Red it makes people head turn.....

Regarding Remote Engine start....Just test and verified....you can start engine max 2 times after that engine wouldn't start....you have to Power ON the car then change the gear from P to N then back to P ....or put car in D and drive then on stop lock the car then press engine start from remote it would be like charm at least in my case..after stopping engine you can start engine once again from remote but third time no start.....other memebers can verify my finding...my R&D have concluded me this...may be any other way around...

One interesting thing....even in D mode I can use my paddle shifters to sudden increase or decrease the acceleraion or speed....before I thought only in S mode I can use paddle shifters....that is quite useful for me...this was missing part in my 2008 Civic

Congrats, yes this paddle function work in D as well and quite useful wen u need to do sudden downshift or slowing down.

Surely...I respect your advise...will go tomorrow for installation exactly what you recommended .these 2 days were my remote start R&D...which took my all time...as you advised I have given Sadiqa with open heart and that has saved me 2 times from major damage....thanks Allah..Sadiqa stood between damage and safety...can any body indicate where in manual or warranty book written that I can't drive till certain speed as I said before even Honda people didn't know that....

Its a 1000km myth which everyone follows before testing the engine limits. ..better abide otherwise no harm driving fast as the engines nowadays are prerun & tested.

I had a chat with the sales folks at Honda Classic about why the different lead times between the Oriel and Turbo. I was informed that Atlas has one shift operating one assembly line. Atlas orders a certain number of either Turbo or Oriel kits. Depending on which kit has arrived, they do a production run of that model. So if they are doing a run of Turbo, then you will get a short lead or wait time for Turbo compared to Oriel or vise versa. I have heard from one of the Honda franchise owners that Atlas has decided to remedy this situation by starting two shifts and investing in a second assembly line. If that happens we should see a significant drop in the wait time for both versions. Lets see what happens.

It isn't a myth about the engine...
There is a very good video on YouTube explaining in detail the engine break in period...and it does recommend not flooring the engine during the initial kms covered in it..

Basically you need to give the various seals and gaskets in the engine time to settle down and smooth out any minor imperfections...But the video goes into alot of depth about this stuff so do check it out...(The channel is Engineering Explained)

Had an issue with CivicX 1.8 Oriel yesterday

1. Was placing in luggage in trunk by opening it through its own unlock button

2. 2-3 times did it. Then noticed all signal lights TURNED ON, car locked out and nothing is working in remote

3. Read it in civicx dot com site that it has happened to others

Question! Has it happened to any of you here in Pak and what to do about it

P.s of course I did use the hidden key and managed to unlock but what about the reason to begin with??????

Yes indeed, the same type of ECU upgrade came in 2010 for the 2009 Honda citys which were slugish in 2nd gear. The redefined mapping improved low end torque as well as power.

Congrats Bro, I have a Rallye Red myself and it is a head turner for sure - Civic is a common car so I have to assume its the color that turns heads!!

Thats exactly the point - what's the harm? Mine is already at 808km and it has been difficult to keep hold of myself, but only a couple of hundred kms more and I can sleep well knowing that I did my best to nurse the engine..... and then hopefully the Turbo will serve me well for many a year!

Is it true ? what about other cities?

I think Atlas should discontinue it as its getting more popular compare to Turbo.
