My dear fellow the fact of the matter is that majority of the people don't go into such deep details before buying a brand new car as neither they have any technical background nor they are keen to do some market research before going after an automobile. Most of the buyers are not even pakwheelers or car enthusiasts, they are just trying to follow the trend by buying something nice for them as we don't have limitless options here but only few to choose from.

Googled a couple of international civic x forums and to the best of my knowledge this knocking issue is one of it's kind and only limited to our local market as it hasn't surfaced anywhere else on the globe.

The most probable cause to this problem may be the bad quality fuel as being discussed here by most of the members. here.

through some source i got to know that production of Turbo has been stopped .? can any body confirm this ?

Dear friend i aprreciate your pakwheeling & knowledge sharing & searching habit but won't you think those car illetrate once if buy something bad which is aesthetically nice to them don't come to know such sort of issues later on? & if they do again they remain stuck to the problem causing machine??? dont' you think it's quite unlogical & insane & by the way a person spending 3million+ have enough rationale of decision making as he has a lot of other more good options available to him & onething more you should keep in mind one who can afford 3 million on buying a car can have affordability of lot more even he gan jump directly to 5 million & for most of the time he already might have tried a lot other options which you just said he doesn't have enough know how. do you think being on pakwheel & having sometime quite irrational before you here, you get enough knowledge to judge about the things which others have? which they are very much satisfied with? i already have mentioned this thing here in some of my previous posts that having practical knowledge is some other thing & just to write a book by reading few other books, you can do very well because that's just a paragraph change with the same content with chaged words. practicality is something else.
continuing an answer to your question which you arose here of being "insane" those who already have bought turbo some 8 months ago didn't come to know yet that this machine is a crap & useless to them & even then they're keep going with it instead of getting rid of this shit with this much beautiful premium available at this time of the year due to its shortage?
this also negates the principle of demand & supply gap in an open market. manipulation can be done at small level but not at this open level that `people dont' wanna buy this fucking shit & those who already own don't wanna sell? what sort of open market economy principle is this?

I didnt get your point here brother. you urself said the car has "highly debated and dangerous issue" but still those who own it are not letting it go and there are many willing to pay premium to get it . whats the rationality in this? i think those who are keeping it are waiting for honda to come up with a fix. and those who are still paying premium to get the ones with this knocking issue are actually ill informed and either not aware or too overwhelmed with the cosmetics and aesthetics of the car.
Fact of the matter is no matter what anyone says there is a genuine issue of knocking. if there wasnt i dont think honda would have delayed the deliveries of all booked cars.
its not a very convincing argument and does not disprove the issue; that since those who have it are keeping it and there are many out there paying "beautiful" premium to get it.

Not permanently stopped. Its just a pause, a temporary stop for: only Atlas knows for sure how many months. Read a few posts above already been discussed.

Dear bros, why everyone is concerned about Turbo?

Those who have it or want it will get it.

Those who don't want it, won't get it.

It is simple.

So just relax everyone and enjoy . Any things can be stopped in production line and we may never know the exact reason but speculations only.

We mustn't forget that Turbo was delivered late in October due to Turbo kits non availability earlier. At that time there was no oriel produced in November as I was looking to buy at own.

I have been observing this Honda production issues for all variants and model. To me it is basically an issue with supply chain whether BRV, civic or city.

They plan as per supply from OEM

The simple reason of getting a faulty product is when no alternative is available in the price bracket...In this case turbo has no direct competitor which is why people are willing to buy it even with the engine issues.....I believe this is a good sign that Honda has actually delayed the turbo production in order to resolve the issue permanently...
Otherwise we would have been stuck with a faulty car for the next 4-5 years....

If only we had some competition in this price/ power range ...like ford or subaru ,audi etc....Honda wouldn't have sold a single faulty turbo in the first place due to intense competition...

And yes it is a big "fault"..people can spin it all they want....stop blaming the fuel...We have alot of german cars in Pakistan..those companies are properly mapping their engines as per local fuel conditions ....Honda has failed in that regard...it is that simple....

Agreed. And it is the habit of Atlas realising the faults later Turbo though expensive but still is selling well as it has no other alternative performance wise specially. So I hope Honda Atlas have realised their blunder and I hope they finding a tweak to solve this knocking issue.

In my observation..at least 80% of people going for oriel could have just as easily gone for a turbo...adding the cost of navigation and leather seats the difference between turbo and oriel isn't that much...

If only atlas had given turbo a solid launch most of people would have gone for it ....Just look at the hard top version..it has a minimal share and because the features in oriel are a well worth 150k... 99% people go for oriel...

Finally to all those people who are waiting for their turbos....Take this as a blessing in disguise...If honda actually resolves this issue within a few months..you will get proper vehicles for which you payed good money....Its better to wait a little more and get a sound product than get a faulty one now..

There is nothing to worry for existing owners as well they will fix the issue via a software update.

Lols till now 2000kms driven and no issues whatsoever.

Driven just 800km on Turbo.

Got initial TOTAL Hi-Super+ from a renowed station...no issues.... 26Litres

Got Again after consuming all previous 26 Litres TOTAL HI Super+ from a less known station near my place and car gave knocking at sudden acceleration

Last Night got again TOTAL Hi-Super+ (13 Litres) + Hi Octane (11 LItres)...from a renowed station..Car has literally no problem, Tried every time sudden acceleration.

Will surely come back to HI-SUPER+ and again check but one thing is for sure, this is totally fuel driven and a software update for timing of signal will solve it if u want to use substandard petrol but at a cost of acceleration.

Also the same Petrol Pump which i filled near my place....i collected that petrol for some house hold work (metallic paint) at my home and the paint all got bubbled and blobs after mixing paint (metallic paints require a pure petrol to function) so i can definitely say its fuel related issue...

Knocking doesn't appear every time you accelerate, rather it appears very less often.
