I got your point sir. Re flashing does solve knocking issue. But I personally like my car stock. Many people are also happy with hi-octane from total whilst their car is stock. So it depends on ones personal preference.

Brother let me share a link of my feedback and initial review about the car. All in all despite the few minor issues overall its a car worth buying.

The overall experience is awesome and you totally forget those minor things. Though mine is an Oriel and I can't comment much on the experience of knocking and reflash etc being faced by some Turbo owners, but as far as Oriel is concerned: highly recommended. Its an experience better than anything in its class before.

Do you know if I book oriel with navigation and later change mind, can I remove the option when paying balance amount? Selecting option is flexible or now I must pay for it ?

You can change your options at balance payment. Even color can be changed when paying balance.

No one ever will. It takes guts to accept, come out with the truth, may it be the Turbo owners (mostly) or Honda Atlas. Everybody says that his Turbo is fine, no knocking issues or very minimal. It takes people like @salik990 and few others to acknowledge that there is a problem.
But honestly, things maybe a little deeper and secrets somewhat dirtier than what Honda is coming up with. I'm more interested in what were the results of the test mules before mass production came into play. I am in no way going to believe that Honda was not aware of the problem and that they were fully ready to launch the Turbo variant. Trust me, I was a potential Turbo buyer. First the overall quality control put me off, then, as the quality control team was screwed to do their job and things got much better, in came the knocking issue from bad to worse. So, in the end I had to go the trusty old school route ..... 1.8 R18. And guess what..... I'm still satisfied Alhamdolillah.
The saying goes like "Birds of the same feather flock together" whether Oriel or Turbo
But as of now, I belong to the Oriel Wolf Pack............

Yes its own personal perference, one of my friends still happy wit his turbo civic wit no knocking but another friend got reflashed as he was having severe knocking problem.

I guess the Ecu of the turbo has different calibration as well. Like no variant is same. Some knock less and some more.

Guess what sir to many experts here but NO ONE KNOWS one thing OR DIDNOT REMEBER IT THERE WAS NO KNOCKING BEFORE THIS FUEL UPGRADE IN PAKISTAN 3 month my uncle used every petrol from every station not a single knock after the upgrade it start to knock on all petrols expect after alot checking total and attock hobc and simple. Were this the same case with all turbo owners before November ?

Regarding the battery drain issues, have the owners noticed if they are keeping their key fobs within cars range overnight? Causing it to keep detecting the presence of the remote and using up the battery maybe. Just a thought. Placement of keys within home could be contributing factor. Owners can comment and confirm. (Talking about oriel coz of its keyless entry system)

If my memory serves me right, the 1.5 T had these issues from the the very outset. Fuel upgrade was to overall resolve the matter. Before this upgrade, the main concern was availability of HOBC and its true grade for the T variant. So your uncle was lucky before the RON upgrade and after that, well, not so lucky? Like the saying goes, you can run but you can't hide.
My guess is, Honda Atlas knew this from the outset. They also knew RON upgrade was around the corner. Their buddies in the oil lobby must have assured them to go ahead with the planned launch, make some big bucks and everything's gonna be just fine. What they both didn't expect was that unless each fuel type was made to the exact specifications or even close, things weren't going to be good enough under the hood. Honda Atlas also didn't know that once the knocking starts happening it's not going to go away completely whatsoever. A relative of mine bought the Civic T and upon the very first "fill er up" came to know about the "K" word. Has been using fuel treatments, octane boosters in Hi Octane and the knocking would either increase or decrease but would just not go away. Go figure.
I just sincerely hope that permanent fix from Honda engineers while either remapping or something else don't reduce the Turbo's engine capability in a bid to eliminate the issue.

Thanks Buddy....It means Total Hi Super is acceptable in case of non availability....and a mix of HOBC with Hi Super is OK.

Does it mean any OCTANE (RON) or HOBC??? As all Hioctanes are above 92 i.e. 95, 97, 98 so they all are and should be fine and not needed to be mentioned. Isn't it??

Re-up with a regular petrol ???? which company????......

sorry for putting many questions as i am now using Turbo since 9th of June.......Made 3 fill re-ups .......... initial when taken out of dealership fuel was all empty....put Altron X from near available pump..........then again re-up half to full with Total (Hi octane) 2 times. Now driven around 500 plus kms approx with butter smooth engine sound till now......
