Many of the older members here must be having an idea how we used to discuss stuff at the Civic threads before launch and the information that I used to share through my sources.
I guess I got a very early delivery immediately after the launch because of my source. The source was a very close family friend and was quite a high up at Atlas, now though departments have been changed and shuffling has been done so he isn't in the same situation as last year. Thanks to him I had always been getting immediate deliveries and information which now won't be possible in future. Nonetheless coming back to the point.
Sorry if I am repeating this post.
I didn't want to go over budget and had opted and decided a Hardtop variant but the price forced me to stretch myself extra for an Oriel because the former didn't feel worth it with 150k gap only.
Many of old members here might remember me saying this even before the launch and using the specific words such as teething problems
About the Turbo concept I recommend and made many of my relatives and friends switch to Oriel even back then because I was myself initially of the strong concept of not at all getting a Turbo as I used some of my old school myths of a new engine and didn't want to jump on an experiment. That was my suggestion and belief back then as well and I was terribly opposed and some people even said to me angoor khattay hain.
Right after my car was delivered, I specially as usual had to thank that person and I had a detailed conversation with him. Back in my head I had thought if it has no teething problems I will gather funds to upgrade later. So I asked him Xyz bhai turbo ka kya scene hai And talking about the Turbo that person who was a high up in Atlas, he said and I quote: yaar agar tu nay leni hai toh abhi matt lay, kam az kam aik saal wait kar main tujhay jaldi nikalwa doon ga tab bhi. Abhi barray kattay khulnay hain Turbo main. Hum ne logon aur surveys k pressure main launch toh kar dee hai lekin Allah ko hi pata hai jo kuch honay wala hai. Tu aglay saal tak wait kar k koi issues na ayey to phir laina
And that was a final seal of approval to my thinking. And now it is close to being one year and the situation is exactly what was anticipated. Now many people claim to have no issues but majority are there giving honest information and reporting problems with their car. So my point is: please some of those who are in denial and don't want to accept anything negative about what they have, please don't misguide others. Factual situation and honest information is what we should be doing and sharing.
Agreed some people have gotten good units and really might not be having issues but its the overall feedback that matters as a majority. Its an average that matters.
On part of Atlas, the truth is they have been unfair to their consumers, what they have done is height of immoralities specially knowing what might happen. They have scre''''d people and their hard earned money
They should have waited for this variant and should have launched it with a bigger bang maybe some year or so later. Its unfair to those who are helping you with your success.
My apologies if anyone didn't like what I said.
