I have my 25000km service coming up for my Turbo. Wanted to ask if I should continue using Honda engine oil or go for something more 'exclusive' like Liqui Moly?

Totally depends on your warranty. If warranty is over, go for LM or Mobil but from a reputed retailer

The guy took his car to khunjerab pass. On the way there was some leakage of coolant. Maybe due to some loose connection or something had hit from underneath. The car got over heated.

Hello Everyone, have been a long time reader of this forum. I have recently booked a Face Lift Honda Civic with Navigation and Leather Seats. Atlas Honda has issued me two invoices, one of the car and advance tax and another invoice for accessories.

I would like to confirm if Honda normally issues two invoices or is it one invoice having all the details? As far as i remember previous invoices included accessories and the car price all in one invoice.

Then why is cursing honda atlas for what clearly is his own mistake...even if there was no leak then the car temp guage should be monitored regularly to see temp changes. He obviously didn't notice and kept on driving with an overheated engine.

I once saw a 2017 model oriel that had come for a complete engine overhaul because the driver forgot to put the cap back in place after checking engine coolant levels. Resulting in coolant loss and entually engine overheating. But the guy kept on driving with an engine temperature alarm resulting in engine damage.

What i am trying to say is yes...honda atlas as made some mistakes but 8 out of 10 times it usually the drivers fault

On http://www.liqui-moly.com.pk/fully-synthetic-engine-oil I cannot find 0-20 grade oil under fully synthetic. Is LM worth it if you're not going for fully synthetic?

Personally I am not much of a fan of undue and too expensive oils. For me as long as an oil is authentic it should do the job.

True. I endorse your point. Most of times it is carelessness on part of owner.

I wouldn't spend the extra amount on LM as it is essentially the same oil as the one honda offers. Both are group 3 oils.

Honda 0W-20 is fine. Stick to regular maintenance schedule of 5k km.
If you go with high end oil like mobil 1 0w-40 or 5w-50 then accept the fact that oil drain interval would be after every 10k km. Now I'm sure few ppl would jump in n say our environment is too dusty, harsh and what not so 10k km is not suited.
Changing high end oil like mobil 1 after every 5k km is like burning your hard earned money. Decision is yours!

Keep searching bro.. you may get lucky. But owners of clean turbos are not willing to sell. First, they know exactly what gem of a car they have, and second with current turbo prices hitting upwards to 1mil ++ more than what they bought theirs at, looks like the longer they keep, the more they may get when they sell.
Iv had mine for 2 years, and it still puts a smile on my face on most days!

That's what I am saying it does not include FED. Turbo will be about 45 lacs and BRV will be over 30 after the fed next month, Just wow

But what I don't understand is that price hike does not reflect the increase in dollar price like before. They increased 4 lacs on oriel when dollar went up by 35 rupees, and now have increased 4 lacs again when dollar has gone up only 15 rupees. I was expecting an increase by 1.5-2 lacs but 4.25 lacs increase for oriel is just ridiculous.

They are also padding their profits for shareholders due to reduced sales which in turn was caused by excessive increase in price.

Guys i have a 1.5 turbo warranty has ended now i want to switch oil before i was using 0-20 from dealership now can i use 0-30 because the weather is quite hot ?

I know these guys. they havent insured the ca. Honda charged them 55000 PKR. honda said it was due to looseness of radiator cap. engine head and gasket are saved

Turbos are rare in the market and clean ones are even rarer.
I would like to get a clean turbo and searching for one but wouldnt mind a 1.8 either.

Almost bought one last Sunday. A white 2017 oriel 17k driven for 29.90. But the seller refused at the last minute and returned token money.
Now I dont feel like spending more than 3 million for a used car.

I.am.sure you were denied of Oriel due to price increment. Now we don't have much options left.
