So. Just after 6k kms, the so called leather seats have wrinkles on them. Have lodged a complaint with Honda Defence today who made video of it and promised to revert. Let's see...

Mine after 2.5 years are perfectly ok but i agree with you regarding yours as i have seen the wrinkles and quality difference in collegues civics bought recently pre faace lift and FL.
The vendor imo is changed and quality felt down

Ok. To answer you gents. My civic X was driven 3200kms 10 days back. Then I started a roundtrip of 4000kms completed day before yesterday. Currently my civic X FL is 7k driven but the factory fitted leather seats have wrinkles. So I went to Honda Defence today in the morning and even they were surprised. Bottom line is that I have claimed warranty as after spending 3.8 million this is unacceptable.

Seems like manufacturing lot issue as I haven't faced this issue after 25k and 03 years usage

Yes. Wrinkles. Even the leatherite of Alto 660 doesn't have them..

What's the difference between Honda coolant type 1 and type 2?

Strange as i have two 2016 model both leather seats are perfectly fine however the rebirth civic had the most horrible leather quality.

What is the maintenance required at 40000kms. According to manual I could sèe CVT oil change and fuel filter replacement.
I went to a dealership and the technician was insisting for service of catalytic converter. Is it necessary as I could not find anything about it in manual?
If anything else needs to be serviced or replaced?

What's the difference between Honda coolant type 1 and type 2?

Type 1: NOT pre mixed with water.
Type 2: 50% coolant and 50% water.

CVT is must. Fuel filter tou may change later

No need for catalytic converter

Beneath the car there is a black apparatus shaped like a box, it makes up for the vaccum generated by the consumption of fuel in the fuel tank by letting in some air..I was disappointed after buying the Civix X as I liked the pull of a 1.3 swift and a 1.3 city both manuals..even my 1.3 pt city felt more responsive...however I noticed the sound of the vaccum being released every time I opened the fuel cap..and the car being more responsive for a couple of km..and then it reverted back to being a sluggish machine..got the breather valve cleaned from honda 3s..I mean its no sports car..but I wudnt say that its sluggish 1.8 CVT..
I hav driven a 230hp CL9 (ECU upgrade) and been in a couple of markXs and mercs..for a 1.8 cvt the car isnt sluggish.
Secondly I did a short pull with 9th gen civic on simple D mode (both cars) the 9th gen couldnt keep up with 10th gen civic

In my opinion do not fiddle with tuning, throttle body and tappet adjustments untill and unless you are observing any abnormality like unstable RPM, poor consumption, smoke, etc etc.....if your car is running perfectly fine do not allow so called technicians to work on these.....
