10th and 11th gen are vastly different sir. The entire body is built in a much better way. It has the same type of welding that high end german cars use. The prices will be sky high. 6 million for top spec does not seem far fetched. As a rough estimate, just add 1 million to the current prices of the cars.

So in Thailand (from where Atlas has imported an 11th gen unit ahead of local assembly) the Civic is priced between USD 29.3k - 36.5k.

Now, Honda has launched the latest 3rd gen HRV hybrid in Thailand and it is priced b/w USD 29.5k - 35.9k.

This illustrates how overpriced the Civic has become, especially since HRV is a more powerful (215 vs 178hp) hybrid crossover. As a reminder, Civic is even more expensive in Indonesia (where Atlas will be sourcing CKD kits from), RS is priced at ~39.7k USD, almost twice the base price of 2nd gen HRV.

This will be another misstep by Atlas. As popular as the Civic is in our market, I think HRV would have been a much easier sell at Rs 5-6mn than Civic.

Civic is a sedan and a sedan lover will stick to it. There js huge market for sedan specially civic.. i may be wrong but i would prefer sonata even over a sorento anyday.. its personal preference but sedans are more fun to drive as many people like me don’t need a crossover or uchi gaddi

Civic will sell like hot cakes even at 5.5m as civic is even today selling over 4.5m plus with premium and there is no slowdowns in sales or u can say atlas profits

I agree, Pakistan still has a much bigger appetite for sedans as compared to the rest of the world. But I don't think that applies to the price point that Civic is now approaching. Enthusiasts who care about handling and driving dynamics are in minority, that's a global reality.
As far as the Sonata over Sorento point is concerned, I would do the same but only because this generation of Sorento is a dud. If Kia had brought the latest gen, Sonata would've struggled to keep up.

In 2005 when civic was 1.2m, in 2013 when it was 2m, in 2016 when it was 2.6m so us waqt I don’t think anyone would have thought k civic/corolla 4.5m ki bhi hoskte hai and would sell on premium! Our currency has consistently depreciated, difference between the rich and poor has grown and their target market will continue to afford and buy these cars.

Lets see . I feel like it would be easy sell since buyers are a lot and they have enough money. Civic is an exception in segment C due to its design and that may help it sell bery well. I can be wrong as well

Forget 5 million. They have already told us that new is over 5-3 5.4 anyday since current hawai figure for turbo is 5.1. Turbo is not even on the assembly line since months so they showed new prices just to set the tone

HRV is based on City/Jazz platform - that's a smaller platform than Civic.

Since old generation (2nd) HRV is launched at similar price range as latest gen Civic in Thailand (as per your post), its sheer stupidity to buy HRV there.
