Since old generation (2nd) HRV is launched at similar price range as latest gen Civic in Thailand (as per your post), its sheer stupidity to buy HRV there.

I had mistakenly written 2nd gen in my post, thanks for the correction. The latest 3rd gen has been launched in Thailand.

Why is that though? In western countries (US etc) its still priced similarly as the last gen.

Probably because the base 1.8 engine has been dropped from Asian markets while the US has retained its base 2.0 from previous generation.

So for comparison,

the base Civic X sedan started at $19,750/- ; Fully loaded Touring $27,600/-
the base Civic X hatch started at $22,000/- ; Fully loaded Touring $29,200/-

the base Civic XI sedan starts at $21,700/- ; Fully loaded Touring $28,300/-
the base Civic X hatch starts at $22,900/- ; Fully loaded Touring $29,400/-

The base and fully loaded versions of the 11th generations are also now little more equipped than the previous generation Civic X

Confirmed News: Bookings to officially start in February. So investors will start planning by January. Price is 5 Mil + (yes) and 2.0 NA is being introduced. I personally dont beleive the 2.0 NA coming to pakistan; but news is a news and that too if from someone relevent or part of the enterprise.

Tucson bookings also expected to start in January. at 5.3 million it will be a touch call for people with this budget. it will definitaly be a tucson vs civic11.

This news is yet another news like a news before launch of the City.. " 7th Generation is Coming ".. Just check out the City thread and you will see same type of news.

Some dealers have floated this news and I exactly know some of sales staff names who generated this. Again this is done to keep the consumer confused so, they delay their next purchase.

The 2L availability being part of news make this news further of low reliability.

Dealership should be your last point of contact for an accurate information about the upcoming product. I think Civic will come sometime in 2022 as I also mentioned in my last Blog. Actually I am the first one pointing out that 11th gen demo unit was imported by Atlas..

Sir wrong news.....2.0 is not there in any RHD market. 1.8 X will continue like in a few other countries. Secondly, just for me and many others.. it's always sedan vs CSUV, so no tension of Tuscon or Sportage. It's personal preference but i will anyway take sedan over these crossovers with no driving pleasure (at least to me)..
