Unfortunately 1.8L is not offered in 11th generation Civic in any of the markets outside Pakistan.

Sir from my sources..1.8 X will continue and 11th only with Turbo engine.

Yes that's is what I am saying as far as 11th gen as far as engine BUT Atlas will not run production for 10th and 11th at the same time. Civic X will be discontinued and replaced by Civic XI.

BTW they are ready for dual as 11th will be mostly a CBU kind of thing at higher price.. wit current Pakistan economy, situation is even worse.

My source is also a senior post person from Atlas and he said that...company cant live without selling their most hot seller...1.8 variant.. Thailand is also doing same BTW.

Government is imposing an increased regulatory duty and increase taxes on CBU.. so, I dont think we will have a CBU Civic.

I think we will have a full model replacement from Civic X to Civic XI. Atlas has a single assmbly line for Civic, they cant produce two different model / generation on the same line , just a technical info as all jigs and other stuff is different.

And establishing a new line for Civic is multi billion ruppes equation and does not make sense.

As far as I know Civic X is no more offered by Honda Thailand. Even its not officially available on Honda Thailand website.

My sources told this..Nothing is confirmed to be honest. Only time will tell but one thing is for sure. In Pakistan, Atlas cannot survive with Turbo only variant of their main product.

Bilkul. I’m talking about that its safe to get the 1.8 (X Gen) booked as it seems that they’re planning to continue it along with 1.5 (XI Gen).

As I mentioned earlier, I dont think both X and XI production can run simultaneously and I don't think Atlas will be doing it . There will be full model replacement and single XI generation on the assembly line. I personally think, we are still 6 months away from any offical reveal.

True, won’t be easy to produce both simultaneously.

I initially thought that if they only introduce the 1.5 turbo for 11the gen it won’t sell enough but looking at MG and Proton, people don’t look much concerned with turbo engines anymore. So lets see how it goes.

I’m planning to get the 1.8 (X gen) booked but cant decide as I don’t want the 11th gen turbo but at the same time what if they introduce the 11th gen with an NA engine too? Tricky.

If we use the Thai launch as a benchmark, it seems that the 11th-gen Honda Civic will not be made available with the venerable 1.8-litre naturally aspirated i-VTEC four-cylinder engine. Instead, all variants will be equipped with the 1.5-litre VTEC turbocharged mill.

Interestingly, the Thai market Civic produces 4hp less than the American and Japanese Civics, coming in at 176hp and 240Nm of torque. However, it seems like they have chosen to prioritise torque over horsepower as the engine features 20Nm more torque than its JDM and North American equivalents.

USDM 11th Gen 1.5L Turbo Civic Sedan :
Power 180HP @ 6000
Torque 177 lb-ft @ 1700-4500 rpm / 240NM .

USDM has more HP but has same Torque as ASEAN Civic and that is 240NM.

Yes if you talk about the new 7th gen Elantra N [ not the N line ] , that is 2L 276+/- HP and has yet to go on sale as pricing announced recently. The N line has 1.6L Turbo with 201HP.

Get it since we don't know how much prices will shuffle till reveal time. At that time u can sell and change if u want to.
