I have been following this forum since first day. My news sources are just from islamabad dealers. No factory or headquarters. So the information could be wrong. But so far, all my news has been correct including march / april launch and honda sensing.

So dont believe what the dealership is telling you especially if they say 2.0 NA is coming which obviously is not.

boss, its like 3rd civic with 2 citys' from islamabad alhamdullillah. have been ordering since a decade now; so people does help. i am not an OWN guy. infact i have been waiting for tucson booking since Feb 2021... i am a genuine buyer and people know it. so its not always about negative intentions. people on the other side of the table also want to give genuine feedback for goodwill. everything is not own oriented.

PS; i also beleive that if i would have bought tucson on 4 lac own in feb 2021, it would have been fiscally a good deal for myself. so once again i reitreat; in a country like pakistan; if you can get hold of a car, get hold of it.there are no ethics. when we will be ethical with our family and friends, we will get an ethical giovernment too. just buy/invest if you have cash in hand before it devalues.

Note: when sunil manj said that we should not pre-book for the civic he is actually asking all of us ( the so called pakwheelers) to either wait for an year or buy civic or pay own because all these cars will be booked for an year. the X gen civic had a waiting line of 8 months. how can we forget that civic will be one of the best optiosn in PKDM category. MG HS, jolian, x70 are great cars but their assembly lines are down the rabit hole. corolla 1.8 isnt really a car at all and sonata being out of 5.5 mil range. sorento is not worth the cost either. sportage is too boring and dull. he is the same guy who said that 7th gen city is coming. he is the same guy who released 12th gen corolla video when the new corolla is not even coming in 2023.

Considering the fuel quality, availability and the price in pakistan, i would prefer 2.0 civic anyday over Turbo. People lost so much money on 10th gen turbo, if 11th gen is only launched in 1.5t, it would hardly sell. Civic is not a niche market car like hs, x70 or jolio..it is used like a workhorse.

how can you possibly think or say that a c category sedan can beat a d category sedan in terms of features and space and all? like get a hold of yourself its still the same civic turbo or something similar to it with a different body and interior you arent getting a camry or accord in this price

Initially they lost money but now a 2016-2017 low mileage 1.5T is more expensive than a same model Oriel. It's a great car for someone who knows how to keep it. The power and drive is worth it for 10th gen X. We will see regarding 11th gen Civic 1.5 Turbo in the future, it's too early to predict it's sales.

Tax structure hinders bigger engines and as such shouldn't 2.0 be pricier than 1.5t?

Everywhere where 2L NA is offered in Civic and basically on LHD market, 2L are the lower trims. Like in US, 2L NA are base two trims while top two trims are 1.5T.

Anyways, I remember back in 2016 before the launch of Civic X, dealers were taking prebooking and Turbo was new thing . 87 octane was the regular fuel on pump back then as standard fuel. 91 octane was not yet shifted.

Pakistani Dealers who were taking bookings were saying you can use regular 87 octane in Turbo because a USDM uses 87. Keep in mind Pakistan shifted to 91 in November 2016. Before that all pumps had 87 as standard fuel. So, basically dealers were sharing inaccurate information.

Well they didn't know that USDM fuel pumps dont reflect RON, it is [R+M]/2 also known as AKI. A USDM 87 means 91 octane. USDM Civic owner manual mentioned 87 but that 87 is actually RON 91 after conversation.

Briefly, yes a 2L and 1.8L in possible in upcoming PKDM Civic . Is it coming for sure ? Well .. we can only assume at this time. I will not take dealers information regarding 2L much serious.

As per the dealers there is only 1.5 NA and 1.5 Turbo yea i agree we cant take it seriously but still they have the info from company

That's 1.5NA is again an inaccurate information.

Hybrid Civic is still in works which is possibly planned with 1.5NA but that model is not yet offically released and still in development . It will first appear in Hatch and in Japan and Europe.

Another point to note, Honda Insight will be basically replaced by Hybrid Civic. In other words, most probably no next generation Honda Insight.

Some unofficial information as follows. Again no verification/ no confirmation. The below info is what circulating among some dealerships.

The camouflaged Civic is a CKD.
CKD will be shown to dealerships on 18th Jan.
Official reveal to public NOT known.
Official delivery to public as told by dealers " March / April ".

There will be just 1.5T engine option. There is NO 2L and there is NO 1.8L .

questions:

so there will be 2 x trims of 1.5T? what will be the major difference? i doubt they will have a Si version. May be there will be a touring version but who will buy touring or Si?
will there be honda sensing present in both of them?

Si is USDM only. It's not offered outside US and Canada.

Touring is the name of the trim offered again in USDM for the fully loaded varaint.

I think it is safe to assume that Honda sensing will NOT be a standard equipment.

that will be really dissappointing; although it also makes little sense. but it will be very mean of honda to decide trims based on honda sensing. this technology will be in half of the 5 million pkr range cars in pakistan by 2022. Examples are peugeot, MG HS, Oshan x7 and Jolian.

Sorento, Tucson and Sportage are the only dumb cars but all of them were launched 2-3 years ago. Sonata being an excuse though.They produced a blonde.
