Was at a Honda dealership for regular maintenance for my 10th gen civic. Saw a bunch of 11th gen Oriels ready for delivery. There was one car that had rear USB ports. None of the other cars had them. There was a new City out for delivery as well and it had rear USB ports as well. Is this a new 'optional' thing?

sales are better not resale no one comes close to toyota in resale value in pak.

Try selling Cross and let me know how it goes.

Features wise Jolion is on paper ahead. But it will be experimenting with a new product in Pak that’s not much on the roads and you don’t know anything about resale either. I wouldn’t experiment with my money as I don’t have too much spare cash.

It's your money, your choice. I respect that. But Jolion HEV is a proven product in global markets. Resale of everything is down these days. Gone are the days when you could sell a used vehicle for profit. As long as dollar exchange rate remains stable and vehicle prices are stable in the market, purchasing vehicle today and selling it tomorrow will definitely give you loss. Whether it's Civic or Jolion or Cross or Corolla. If you are shopping for vehicle just for resale, better not because things have changed.

You can of course buy a Jolion or a cherry or Honri with your money if you want to, but here we are responding to a question asked where car as an investment is important for the guy.

Putting facts in front him is important and it’s up to him to decide as it’s not a small investment.

Only H6 from Haval is selling or reselling, so why not suggest him a better product than suggesting to experiment with Jolion?

The requirement of poster is wrong. That's what I am trying to explain. Buying a vehicle today is no more an investment. If the sole reason is investment, then better invest money where he could earn in future. This is the honest response we can give for the time being.

I don't understand this point. How buying Jolion is experiment when we have global reviews available from countries like Australia, South Africa, Thailand, Mexico, Indonesia, Russia, etc. The interesting part is the sales in those countries are increasing every year. IMO it must be better than H6 HEV in terms of reliability because it has NA engine and H6 HEV have turbo.

Jolion is sold in much lesser numbers than H6. The "markets" you are referring to are not big impactful markets volume wise. Just quoting them isn't enough.

Haval is a growing brand, but it needs to to break or crack bigger markets globally against competition in large numbers and then we can have a better comparison.

By investment I didn’t mean tor profit I simple mean which ever retains its value better in current market, 9 mil 10mil is a kind of range where you are going to loose money for sure esp in case of new cars, I have driven Jolion it’s an OK car to drive but nothing tou shout abt yes it does have options and do have nice interior, problem with Oriel is you are spending 9 mill and not getting any advance options which is a big let down, Yes with RS it different story it feels like a different car and I do like it better than Jolion but the price is little too steep with registration insurance and PPF done gonna cost 107 🤦 which isn’t smart investment IMO, for that reason I am more inclined towards Jolion but in the end I might end up with RS🥹🥲Honda ka keera khatam nahi hota

Yep nobody knows about Jolion how it will hold its value and if you will be able to sell even at cost price.. or at a loss.

H6 will hold its value so will Civic.

Look a for a used RS, Im sure there are well maintained ones with low mileage for sale. One owner with complete dealership service history.

Haval anyday, civic oriel is pretty much empty and lacks power.
Isb has seen growing numbers of jolion, you can also get a h6 1.5 or 2.0
Haval is dominating in middle east as well.
New gen civic has a slow resale too, it's not peoples go to vehicle in this range.

Even rs, i would buy it as a second car. It won't ever be my first car, lacks a lot and costs a lot.
Every second vehicle in isb is a h6 now.

Exceptions are always there. Also look at the booking price at which 2022 models were bought. Civic still holds value over time much better than Chinese.

tbh, wise people have already commented, gone are the days when cars used to hold value or go above its invoice price. The competition is tough and options available to the consumer are a lot. Why would I buy an already overly priced product close to its invoice value that is one or two years old, when I can get a more loaded product or lets say comparable option with a less price tag.? The used car market has truly changed now.

Only because all cars are not selling well and delivery times are short. Once new sales go back to original levels and delivery times increase, ON and value holding practice will come back. Its just a case of market dynamics. Last year RS was the only car that was selling on ON. That says a lot about what people value.

There's ON money on Haval H6 even in these conditions which says a lot.

If that's the yardstick then last year conditions were worse than today and ON was on Civic RS due to delivery times and not on any H6. It won't last forever. It's only on HEV because of longer waiting time.

Interest rates are at 13% down from 22% less than a year ago. Real interest rates are even below 13%.

Ok then you should suggest H6 and not Jolion, which isn’t selling and likely won’t hold its value too.

Bw Civic and H6 both are likely to retain value, but H6 is the trend these days so can be bought.
