Only recalls are eligible for free of cost repairs/ replacements irrespective of how the car was maintained. Since a recall was never issued for the steering rack here this does not apply. Otherwise a warranty history is usually required. A service center maybe willing to overlook depending on how good a customer you are/ were. Considering you never maintained a relationship with the showroom after you bought the car, it all comes down to how good your personal relationship with the service center is.
Unfortunately I bought car just two days ago and had no idea about this issue.
Very common issue in this gen , Yes steering rack gets replaced , mine got replaced free of cost in warranty (22 oriel) for this exact issue.
I posted this issue back in Janplease have a look (click my name in the below pinned comment and it'll extend)
It is steering rack.
You have to try . They may change it.
For cars that already have had the rack replaced and if the problem occurs again, they’re now just replacing a small spring (measures hardly half an inch) located somewhere near the tire rod of the passenger side wheel.
I had the full rack replaced twice on my Civic X.
I went to honda dealership and they drove it, made videos and pics of chassis to sent to Honda and issued me claim number. Do you think I will get replacement free of cost now??? Warranty was expired in June and not maintained from Honda dealership.
yes you will get it under quality claim despite warranty period is void
You will get the claim since the issue is not caused by you and actually manufacturers issue. No worries. Best of luck.
Do share the change experience.
Yes It.will be free of cost
I am facing a strange issue on my 11 gen rs and want to see if anyone else is also facing this and if there is any identified fix. The road noise is too loud and coming from the passenger side dash area. I cant really trace it but the exact location seems to be the A pillar of the passenger side area. It almost feels like the window is not fully closed that is how clear sometimes sounds make it inside the cabin. I read 11 gen forums on reddit and some other people have had a similar issue.
Is it road noise or air noise at high speed? My car on speeds above 80km/h gives air noise from both front left right windows and as per honda it is because of air press installed.
AOA guys. any idea which 9005 led bulbs and h11 led bulbs work best in civic oriel 11 gen?
i have opted for topowl 9005 and X7seven h11 (low beam).
Any experience with conpex LEDs?
suggestions would be helpful please.
Wind noise issue is very common in this model , its also present in my 2022 11th gen Oriel
Use music
Or
Check with rubber insulation by getting it checked from 3S.
Yes aur press also increases road noise . Other area of road noise is General Tyres
Front camera isn't working. It is giving no signal. Went to dealership and they were saying that they had to open front bumper and its time taking and labor cost as well. I didn't have enough time so came back. What could be the issue?
WAS, Philips Ultinon Rally
With all due respect, not one car you mention is from a manufacturer of any note. All are at best decent products from a pile of me too manufacturers from China and South Korea (mostly China). Say what you will about Honda, they still are powering Red Bull (the current F1 world champions - the pinnacle of motorsports). That has got to have some street credibility.
Lmao okay sure buddy. GWM, Cherry, Kia, Hyundai are 'me too' manufacturers. Got it.
