You are right that most of our driving is on local roads and in traffic and convenience features do make a big difference in day to day comfort. But for some of us, handling and driving feel aren’t about Nürburgring-level cornering, it is more about confidence, stability, and how the car responds when you actually need it (emergency braking, highway overtakes, sharp turns, etc.).
Features come and go, but the core driving dynamics are what stay consistent throughout the ownership experience. For me, that’s why sedans like the Civic still stand out, even if they don’t have every gadget. At the end of the day, it’s about what matters more to you: features and comfort, or driving engagement and reliability.
