If the difference between civic and sonata is less than a million will it dent the civic sales? If they do keep the difference less than a million then I hope and pray that people opt for Sonata and not civic.

sonata 2.0 will not compete with civic because in minus one million people will be having a faster car with sensing & good mileage of turbo engine. sonata buyers category is different i think. 1 million is not a small gap.
Yes and Turbo engine competes with 2.5L in drive...2.0 is not gonna compete as far as the engine is concerned plus it's economical. Segment difference will remain and Sonata is clearly an upper segment car but I doubt if that matters to Pakistanis
Claimed fuel average of 17.2 km/l (ideal case). In our conditions (stop and go and mixed ) , even if it gives 12-13 that's pretty okay. The whole purpose of buying a 1.5T is not hypermiling it but to drive it spiritedly..

People here have tuned it to 250-270 hp so it can surely takes the beating but not worth the risk with stock internals and a CVT. A little of fiddling around can take it to 200 hp which is enough for our autobahns over here.

I agree it must be the fastest and no doubts about the engine’s potential but I’m specifically talking about Cvt’s durability. Not sure how good an idea it is to push a cvt and honestly driven afew cars with cvts, it completely takes out the driving pleasure whatever there would be otherwise. Just my opinion
