Thats exactly what I’m trying to say. The 1.5 I’m sure makes the car quick and the engine would be wonderful but paired with a Cvt certainly would nullify that pleasure. I don’t know how one can enjoy driving that.

Civic is NOT your "sports" sedan. It is economy car to take you from point A to B with fuel economy as priority.

Of course it isn't a sports sedan but CVT is a soulless transmission that kills the driving pleasure.

True BUT that's what brings the fuel economy for Honda and currently in place in all their 1.5T models [ Civic, CRV, Accord] and 2L NA as well.

for under 180 hp that is just a myth. reitriating few things pakistanis are not happy with NOW.

1. CVT non existent: everyone is crying.
2. CVT introduced : "paired with a Cvt certainly would nullify that pleasure"
3. Honda sensing non existent : "simple cruise is not cruise"
4. Honda sensing arrive : "i wish we could turn it off - daangeerrouss hay"
5. Traction control : "No use in everyday drive"
6. Dual airbags : first give us side airbags
7. New PKDM models : "we will buy CBU cars like they come for free"
8. Fortuner launched : suspension is bad.
9. Sorento launched with better suspension and larger dimensions : no road presence.
10. Carnival launched with even better suspension : no one even look at the "VAN"
11. City with auto transmission : is main cvt nahin hay auto buhut patrol khatee hay
12. Yaris with CVT : ugly car.

what a consistent non-approval. we had like atleast 15 new models in last 2 years with record sales but some how pakwheelers are not happy

For cvt i agree to ur point. I always like cvt in passenger cars.. smooth and super efficient. Not sure what fun we are looking to get from a passenger car.Pakistanis have issues with every single thing

I only comment on what I've experienced/driven. Don't care about the rest.

I've never driven a Sorento/Yaris/City so I won't comment on them. I have plenty of experience driving Honda Sensing cars so I'm qualified to have an opinion.

As for CVT, and again this is my own experience, they are trash transmissions. No fun, no soul, and pathetic sound. My Civic 1.5T has extensive bolt on mods with 21psi custom tune and it spits out 230 whp on a dyno easily but I still HATE the damn CVT. It is way quicker than other cars in my garage but the transmission just kills all the fun. Heck it might be even quicker than my E tron 55 in a rolling race but I'd take a DCT/manual/auto over cvt any day.

But that's just me, what do I know?

Cvt is being offered by Honda since 2005-6, have always had the same opinion about them. It does for a fact nullifies the pleasure and I’m sure most would agree with that. But since we have no other option, lets hope they give a well made decent civic XI.

Finally we have a relatively competitive market and as long as latest gen. products are offered we should be happy about it.

Plus CNG issues with vario if I remember correctly
