I have decided not to get any seat covers for my upcoming Altis. I want to have a feel of new seats and of not some leatherite or other fabric. The original fabric print and designs is part of overall ambiance of the cabin and when u get after market covers you also alter the interior look.
In 2005 I bought new Corolla and got leahterite seat covers and sold it this month without using the original seats underneath.
For our second car at home i.e a Mehran VXR I have not got the seat covers and it really feels good to sit on original fabric and during the two years no staining has occurred. If if stains come you can get them cleaned during the periodic detailing.
One of my colleague bought City in 2011 and I suggested him about not getting the seats covered and he often tells me that I guided him right and he likes the feel of original seats after he sat in cars with seat covers.
What's the point of seat covers afterall -- to save them for the next buyer?
